HookLab AI vs Draftly

HookLab AI writes the first line of your videos. The one that decides whether people keep watching or scroll past. Type your topic, pick a platform and a style, and you get ten hooks in a few seconds. They show up one by one as they are written, so you can start reading right away. I built HookLab for one simple reason: that first sentence takes more time than the rest of the video put together. If that sounds familiar, this is for you. WHAT YOU GET Ten hook styles that actually work on short video: curiosity, contrarian, call-out, transformation, urgency, secret, list, story, statistic and question. Pick one or let the app choose the best mix. Hooks adapted to the platform. A TikTok opener and a LinkedIn opener are not the same thing, so the tone and structure change with the platform you choose: TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X or LinkedIn. Full scripts. Take any hook and turn it into a 30 or 60 second script you can record right away, with the timing for each part. Pro Pack feature. Refine. Not quite right? Make a hook shorter, punchier, more emotional, add a number, simplify it or rewrite it in another style. Three variants, one tap. Five video ideas. Not sure what to film? Type a topic and get five different videos, each with its own angle, the line that opens it and how to shoot it. A strength score on every hook, with the reason in one line, so you can see at a glance which one to film first. It rates the writing, it does not pretend to predict views. Rate my hook. Already wrote your opening line? Paste it and get an honest score out of 100, what already works, what to fix, and three rewrites that apply the fixes. Share from TikTok or YouTube. Found a video whose opening you want to improve? Share it to HookLab: its caption lands in Rate my hook, ready to score. Instagram does not share captions, so there you type the line yourself. On iPhone, iPad and Mac. On a big screen your settings stay on the left and your hooks fill the right, two by two. Five languages. Write hooks and scripts in English, French, Spanish, German or Brazilian Portuguese, whatever language your phone is in. A library of more than 200 hooks in your language, sorted by niche (fitness, money, productivity, parenting, studies, gaming and more), in a new order every day, plus new hooks every week written from what people are talking about right now. A "Hook of the day" widget for your Home Screen and Lock Screen, plus a Siri shortcut. Everything you save stays on your device, synced with your own iCloud if you want. PRICING Free: 3 generations a day (hooks, video ideas, ratings or refinements), 5 styles, the full library. Pro Pack: 100 generations a day, all 10 styles, full scripts, a stronger AI model. One payment. Pro+ Pack: everything in Pro, 200 generations a day, daily trending topics and bulk export. One payment. There is no subscription and there will not be one. No ads, no analytics, no tracking. If it is not for you, Apple refunds purchases within 14 days. Hooks and scripts are generated with Claude, the AI model made by Anthropic. HookLab AI is an independent app, not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X or LinkedIn.
