Zeitgeist Metronome
Read full descriptionHide full description
Most metronomes just click. Zeitgeist Metronome thinks with you. Built for musicians who want more than a ticker: a practice tool that guides your ear, shapes your groove, and grows with your rhythm. Feel the Pulse. Hear the Polyrhythm. At the heart of Zeitgeist Metronome is the PULS feature: a steady sine tone beneath the click that guides your ear to the downbeat — even inside complex polyrhythms. The difference between counting a 3:5 and actually feeling it. Download for free and try the app. After that, a paywall lets you start a 7-day free trial and choose between a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase that unlocks the app permanently. Four Modes. One Practice Tool. - A sine tone (PULS) guides your ear to the downbeat - Continuously adjustable swing that sounds like real music - From a simple click to recursive polyrhythms and whole practice routines - Shape your own click sound per track - A BPM flywheel with momentum that actually feels like playing - Preset manager with nested folders, tags and file sharing - No data collection. No account needed. No clutter. Mode 1: Simple Metronome The clearest starting point. One track, an adjustable beat count from 1 to 16, and four microbeat presets — triplets, eighths, sixteenth notes, and an outer subdivision pattern. Mode 2: Grid (Polymetronome) Two independent tracks run on a shared LCM time grid — the foundation for true polyrhythm practice. Set Track A to 3 and Track B to 7, and hear and feel a 3:7. Four volume levels per beat cell shape every accent, and a micro accent bar sits between the tracks. Pinch to zoom. PULS holds the ground pulse steady while the rhythms move around each other. Mode 3: Step (Step Mode) Build rhythms from scratch. Drag a division tool onto any beat and it splits into 2, 3, 4, or a custom divisor from 5 to 13. Split again, up to three levels deep. Patterns no standard metronome can produce. A RESET button in the play bar starts your pattern over. Mode 4: Seq (Sequence-builder) Chain your saved presets into a practice routine on a large, clear timeline. Folder chips above the track keep everything organised, and the view follows along: the active segment stays centred and glides into the next. Start with a 1x or 2x count-in right from the play button. Preset Manager Every preset is a card with a preview button, so you can listen before you load. Organise presets in nested folders, label them with tag chips, and long-press a card to rename, tag, move or share it. Export a preset or a whole folder as a file via the share sheet, and import from a file or pasted text. Swap ideas with bandmates or students. In All Metronome Modes: Swing & Timing Swing adds an adjustable shuffle from 0 to 50 percent. The timing offset shifts the whole pulse early or late by milliseconds, for practising the subtle push and pull of real groove. Click Editor Every track has its own sound. Adjust pitch from 200 Hz to 6 kHz, shape decay and release, control the noise transient and the body resonance. The click of your metronome should feel as personal as your playing. Features: - Four modes: Simple, Grid, Step, Seq - Two independent polyrhythm tracks on a shared LCM grid - PULS: sine tone for downbeat guidance - Step sequencer with recursive subdivision - Custom divisors from ÷5 to ÷13 - Sequencer timeline with folder chips, auto-follow and count-in - Preset manager: nested folders, tags, preview, file-based import and export - Four accent levels per beat cell, micro clicks - Swing 0–50% and global timing offset in milliseconds - Click editor: Pitch, Decay, Release, Click, Body — per track - BPM Flywheel: 10–400 BPM with momentum and snap-to-5 - Mute any track with a double-tap Zeitgeist Metronome: A metronome built for pulse, phrasing, and real musical feel.

Clockworks turns rhythm into geometry. Build polyrhythms by layering rotating shapes on a clockface — each shape's sides become evenly-spaced beats, so a triangle and a pentagon played together weave intricate cross-rhythms with zero math. • Layer multiple shapes, each its own voice • 10 instruments — sampled piano, e-piano, guitars, plus synth keys, organ, marimba, vibes and more • Built-in drum kits with a step sequencer • Dozens of scales across many categories for instant melodic results • Scene-based arrangement to evolve your loop over time • Pro FX: 3-band EQ and BPM-synced echo • Export to MIDI, audio (WAV), or sheet music PDF No theory required — just add shapes and listen.
