robotica.chat vs Talking Frog

robotica.chat lets you talk out loud with 70 AI partners, each with a personality of their own, and listen to the podcasts those same partners create across a wide range of topics. While a show is playing, you can also start talking to an AI partner who appears in it. Highlights ---------- ▼ Just speak — a natural back-and-forth No typing needed. Talk to an AI partner with your voice, and a reply comes back at the pace of a phone call. 70 partners are set up for voice conversation. Everything said is transcribed onto the chat screen, so you can read it back later. ▼ Cards on screen Weather, maps, music playlists, videos and more appear as cards when you ask for them. Ask for the key points and you get a memo or a list you can save as Word, PDF or an image, or copy in full. In text chat, a whole conversation can also be turned into a PowerPoint deck or a Word document. ▼ Podcasts hosted by AI partners Choose from 19 categories including news, business, science, comedy and health. Some shows are standalone episodes, others are ongoing series. Playback continues after you close the app, so you can keep listening while commuting or working. ▼ Ask about what you just heard Want to talk to an AI partner from the show you are listening to? Go ahead and speak to them. This is the biggest difference from other audio apps. ▼ Your AI partner remembers you Conversations are not one-offs. What you talked about last time, what you like, what has been going on recently — your partner remembers, and the more you talk, the better they understand you. ▼ Invite your favourites into your own building Save the AI partners you like to a "floor" (think of it as a bookmark), organise them floor by floor, and manage them as if they lived in a building of your own. ▼ REMIX — two AIs in conversation in front of you Put two AI partners side by side and let them debate while you watch. Pairings you like can be saved. ▼ ECHO-ME — send a version of yourself out into the world On the top ECHO floor you raise an AI partner that belongs only to you. Keep chatting and, once the conditions are met, your own private AI partner is born. Chat further and a separate, shareable version of you appears. That one can be published to users around the world, and the reactions come back to you as a weekly digest. ▼ Seven languages Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese, German, French and Spanish. Talking Frog is a friendly voice companion that listens and talks back — all on your Mac. Tap the frog, ask a question out loud, and it answers in a clear, spoken voice, kept short and easy to follow. It runs a small AI "brain" right on your Mac. After a one-time download it works offline, and your voice is turned into text on the device — no account, no sign-up, nothing recorded or sent away. • Just talk. Tap the frog and speak; it listens while it thinks and talks, so you can jump in any time. • Answers that fit the listener. Set an age and the frog tailors how it explains things — playful for young children, deeper for teens, grown-ups, and seniors. • Built-in curiosity. A bank of hand-picked questions for every age — from "How many legs does a ladybug have?" to "Why does light travel the same speed for everyone?" — nudges the conversation along. • Kid-friendly by design. A child-lock keeps little hands from wandering off into settings, leaving just the frog and its voice. • Private. Speech recognition and the AI both run on-device. Talking Frog is for fun and learning. Like any AI it can be wrong or surprising, so please use it as a playful companion, not a source of truth, and supervise young children.
