Recite vs Recite

Recite helps you memorize Bible verses the way you’ll recall them: by saying them aloud. Choose a verse, hide the text, and recite it from memory. Recite listens, compares your words with the passage, and gives you an immediate accuracy score. It’s a simple, focused way to move Scripture from the page into your heart. SPEAK AND REMEMBER • Recite verses aloud using on-device speech recognition • See where your words matched or differed • Receive an immediate accuracy score • Listen to a verse before practicing • Practice by speaking or typing HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT Build confidence gradually with flexible verse-display tools. Read the complete passage, reveal selected words, use first-letter hints, or hide everything for a full memory test. SMART SCRIPTURE REVIEW Recite uses spaced repetition to help you review verses before they fade from memory. Strong recall leads to longer review intervals, while difficult verses return sooner. TRACK YOUR GROWTH • Follow your daily practice streak • View total reviews and average accuracy • See your progress for each verse • Earn badges and reach memorization milestones • Identify verses that are due for review BUILD YOUR OWN VERSE LIBRARY Begin with four ESV Romans Road passages, then add the Bible verses and longer passages you want to learn. Organize verses by topic, book, study plan, or personal goal. Group consecutive verses under the same topic to practice a longer passage in order. MAKE PRACTICE YOURS • Choose from multiple themes and reading styles • Adjust verse font, size, and visibility • Set practice reminders for your preferred time • Select standard or high-accuracy speech recognition • Enable Kids Mode for a cheerful “Well Done!” celebration and confetti PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your recitations are processed on your device. Your voice is not uploaded or shared. Your verses, recordings, scores, and progress remain private to you. The goal isn’t a perfect score. It’s to spend meaningful time in God’s Word and store it in your heart- one verse at a time.

Recite helps you hide God's Word in your heart — one verse at a time. Inspired by the Navigators' Topical Memory System, Recite uses proven learning techniques to help you actively memorise and retain Scripture, not just read it. SPEAK YOUR VERSES Recite verses aloud and get instant feedback. Speech recognition listens as you speak, then highlights every word — green for correct, red for missed. It's encouraging, not punishing. SMART SPACED REPETITION Recite uses the SM-2 algorithm (the same method behind Anki) to surface verses at exactly the right time. Verses you find hard appear more often. Verses you know well step back. Your time is never wasted. THREE DIFFICULTY MODES - Easy — most words visible to jog your memory - Medium — key words hidden to test your recall - Hard — only the reference shown, full recitation required BUILD A DAILY HABIT Daily streaks, XP points, and badges keep you motivated. A personalised verse queue makes each session focused and achievable — typically just a few minutes a day. 34 CURATED VERSES INCLUDED Start immediately with 34 verses across 17 essential Christian topics — Salvation, Prayer, Faith, Witnessing, Forgiveness, and more. Available in KJV and World English Bible (WEB). ADD YOUR OWN VERSES Import any verse from any translation. Organise them into your own topics. Your custom verses sit alongside the built-in set and follow the same spaced repetition schedule. Whether you're new to Scripture memory or returning to a practice you've let slip, Recite gives you the structure, the encouragement, and the tools to make it stick.
