Normal actually makes you use your phone less by keeping selected apps blocked by default. To unblock you have to physically scan an NFC Tag, QR Code or use a Location. This can be any NFC Tag, QR Code, Barcode, Location you set in the app. This 'opt-in' approach is backed by research and actual use. Normal is made to be the most powerful screen time app available. Saving your hours of your day. It's fully open-source and no features are behind paywalls. It can also be made to be impossible to bypass. Highlights of Normal: - Block Apps via NFC Tags, QR Codes and Barcodes - Use ANY NFC Tag, QR Code or Barcode - Unblock/Block specific Apps - Timed Unblocks - Emergency Unblocks - Scheduling - Complete Granular Control - Can make it as easy or as hard to bypass Normal was made because of issues with some other screen time apps. - Other screen time apps are easy to bypass. Normal can be made to be impossible to bypass, or easy to bypass. You have complete control. - Most other screen time apps work on opt-out strategy, where you have access to all apps, then lose access through usage. - Normal works on opt-in strategy. The apps you have blocked are always blocked, to use them you have to physically get up and scan your NFC tag or QR Code. - Most screen time apps are paid, either one-time or more commonly, subscriptions. There are no paid features. Everything is free and open-source. - Normal is privacy-focused. We don't log any data, everything stays on device. Since we're open source, you can check our code and confirm. - Normal allows timed unlocks. Other NFC/QR Code blockers don't have this. If you want to use an app for 15min, you can unlock it for 15min only. You don't have to remember to reblock. Normal was made by actual users, research on smartphone addiction and developments in dumbphones in-mind. If you want to turn your iPhone into a dumbphone, you can. Block all smart apps, block the app store, prevent disabling normal (via preventing delete and the shortcuts trick). Now you have a dumbphone, which you can't make smart without your NFC Tag (which you can make as difficult as you need). If you want a semi-dumbphone, you can. Do the above but have some apps like maps, music, messaging, etc. If you're a professional who needs access to apps distracting sometimes, Normal is for you! Block all distractions with Normal. Set schedules for you work apps or used timed unblocks. Need 15min to post content or check email? You can do that! You just have to physically get up and scan your NFC Tag, QR Code, or Barcode. The apps will automatically reblock after your timer is over. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

If you're anything like me, you're an elder millennial who misses a simpler time. Mountain Dew, late nights, and the freedom to ignore anything that resembled responsibility. These days you might need a little push to get things done (I sure do). So I built one. Complete & Conquer is a native iOS and macOS to-do app with a retro, gamified twist, built on the nostalgia of the real-time strategy games we grew up on. Every task you finish earns credits. Spend them to put up buildings and deploy units, climb the tech tree to unlock new hardware, and watch a little pixel-art base grow straight out of your real-life productivity. There's a catch. There's always a catch. Ignore your tasks for too long and the enemy takes notice. Let things pile up and your base comes under attack, and the only way to push them back is to start finishing things again. Turns out crossing a boring errand off the list feels a lot better when it also means commanding an army. A few things worth knowing: • It's free, and the core always will be. Using Complete & Conquer as a to-do list and habit tracker will never cost a thing. No paywall on getting your life together. • It's a real task manager underneath, with scheduling, reminders, and priorities. It just happens to be fun to open. • The loop is simple and weirdly motivating: finish tasks, earn credits, build cool stuff, defend your base. • Native on both iPhone and Mac. A word about money, because I owe you one. When I launched this app I said the to-do core would stay free, and I meant it. Recurring objectives, unlimited tasks, the full base game through Tier 2, plus a small Home Screen widget and Lock Screen widgets — none of it costs anything, and none of it ever will. No paywall on getting your life together. But I'm one guy, not a venture-backed productivity empire, and the lights don't keep themselves on. So: Commander Pro, entirely optional, for commanders who want the deluxe treatment. What Pro adds: • iCloud sync — your base, tasks, and progress on both iPhone and Mac • Tier 3 endgame — advanced tech, the Orca, an elite-tier base • GSD Intel — a field-intelligence briefing with completion analytics, streaks, and a raid log • An interactive checklist widget and the rich medium widget — check off objectives without opening the app • Dynamic Island quick-deploy — see today's progress, page through objectives, and secure them right from the island • Raid tuning — Relaxed to Intense, plus quiet hours • The Mac menu bar companion (existing users keep it free — you were here first) It's $4.99 a month, $29.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $49.99 once for lifetime, at an early-supporter price that goes up later. One purchase covers both iPhone and Mac, because charging you twice for the same app felt like a raid on YOUR base. And if you never spend a dime? Genuinely fine. Complete your tasks, defend your base, tell a friend. That was always the deal. Full disclosure: I'm building this app instead of doing my own to-do list, so there's a steady stream of new features on the way. Whether that reflects well on the app or poorly on me remains to be seen. EULA for subscriptions: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
