Aja — a name inspired by Rudra, the timeless and powerful form of Shiva. Shiva is also associated with Kāla, the cosmic principle of time, and Laya, the force of dissolution and transformation. Aja Panchang is a location-accurate Vedic panchangam for daily religious and cultural use. It is built for people who want panchang details that match their family tradition, city, and calculation method — with a live view of what is active right now. Daily panchang for your city View tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga, karana, sunrise and sunset, Rahu Kalam, Yamagandam, Gulika, muhurta windows, festivals, and vratas — all computed for your selected location. Choose how your panchang is calculated Many calendars use one fixed method. Aja Panchang lets you adjust settings that change the result: • Panchangam basis: (Swiss Ephemeris + Lahiri), Vakya (Tamil classical), or Surya Siddhanta • Calendar tradition: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, or North Indian • Maasa: Amanta or Purnimanta • Festival sect: Smarta, Vaishnava, or Shaiva • Day boundary: local sunrise, Indian reference sunrise, or local midnight The same date and city can be shown the way your family or regional panchang expects. Live panchangam The Live screen updates in real time: current tithi and nakshatra, hora, choghadiya (where your tradition uses it), Rahu/Yamagandam/Gulika, and a countdown to the next change. See what is happening on your clock today, not only a static daily page. Festivals with context Festivals are computed from a rule engine covering Hindu, Jain, and Sikh/Nanakshahi calendars. See why a festival falls on a given date, dual-date cases, four-prahar windows, Shradh periods, vratas, regional festivals, and Pushkaralu (Godavari and Krishna river cycles). Compare cities when you travel View the same civil date across different cities. Sunrise-based timings and festival boundaries can shift with location — useful when moving between regions. More in the app • Hora chakram and choghadiya • Tarabalam and chandrabalam • Birth-moment and janma tithi • Lunar year and moon phase • Astronomy: planets, lagna, eclipses • Live graha and rashi board • Smart alerts for today’s windows and upcoming festivals Languages The app is available in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, and Gujarati, including Jyotish terms in native script where applicable. Built on our own engine Astronomy uses Swiss Ephemeris. Muhurta windows such as Abhijit, Brahma, Godhuli, Amrita, Varjyam, and Durmuhurta use defined traditional rules. Developed by Aja Consulting Services LLP, Hyderabad. Aja Panchang is intended as traditional religious calendar information. Muhurta and festival timings are based on classical calculation methods and may differ from local print almanacs depending on your chosen settings
