About

HowTall

HowTall measures a person's height in real time using your iPhone Pro's camera and LiDAR scanner. Point the rear camera at someone, and HowTall instantly projects their head and feet onto the floor plane to read their height — no tape measure, no markers, no setup. Everything runs on-device using ARKit body-pose tracking and the LiDAR depth sensor. No images or measurements ever leave your phone. FEATURES • Real-time, smoothed height readout • LiDAR-accurate (uses the depth sensor, not camera estimation) • Save measurements locally with an optional snapshot • Share an annotated image via the iOS share sheet • Fully on-device — no accounts, analytics, or servers • Imperial and metric units REQUIREMENTS HowTall requires an iPhone with a LiDAR scanner: iPhone 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 Pro, 15 Pro, 16 Pro (or any newer Pro / Pro Max). iOS 17 or later. PRIVACY HowTall does not collect any data. The camera and LiDAR feed is processed in memory and discarded — no images, depth maps, or measurements are transmitted off the device.
