ShadowClip
Read full descriptionHide full description
You share screenshots with colleagues and paste them into AI tools every day. ShadowClip removes the personal data before you hit send. Email addresses in a complaint. Names and faces. API keys. They end up in screenshots constantly, and then in places they shouldn't โ AI assistants, emails to colleagues, or texts to friends. ShadowClip autodetects sensitive information in images, and lets you review and adjust before sharing. WHAT IT DETECTS โข Credentials: API keys and tokens in more than 20 formats โข Financial: credit card numbers and IBANs, each checked against its own check digit, so a number that merely looks like a card isn't flagged โข Identity: national ID numbers for 29 countries, each matched to its own format โข Contact: email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses โข Network: IPv4, IPv6 and MAC addresses โข Visual: faces, QR codes, barcodes โข Names, organisations and locations โข Dates of birth and handwritten signatures BUILT INTO YOUR WORKFLOW Pick a photo from your library and give ShadowClip a few seconds. Findings appear as a review list: accept, dismiss, or add your own. Then save the redacted copy back to Photos. You can also select words by hand, or draw a region over anything else you want hidden. Share Extension: from Photos, Safari, or any app with the system Share menu, choose ShadowClip. Redact and save without leaving what you're doing. BUILT FOR EVERY LANGUAGE Most redaction tools are built for English. ShadowClip's interface is available in 17 languages, and it checks text in 30 โ including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Russian and Thai. National ID numbers are matched country by country, not with one generic pattern. Arabic and Hebrew get a fully right-to-left interface. Apple's text recognition cannot read Hebrew, Greek or Hindi. Rather than pass over it silently, ShadowClip marks that text on the image so you can see exactly what went unchecked โ and numbers, email addresses and ID numbers inside it are still found. IRREVERSIBLE BY DESIGN Redactions are opaque fills composited into a new image. The original pixels are discarded, not covered: there is nothing underneath to recover. Location data and camera metadata are stripped when you save. PRIVACY BY DESIGN ShadowClip contains no networking code and makes no network requests. Your images are processed on your device and never leave it. No accounts, no cloud, no telemetry.
AdsBlockers
Read full descriptionHide full description
AdsBlockers is a device-wide ad and tracker blocker for iPhone and iPad. It works at the DNS level, so ads are blocked system-wide โ in apps, browsers, and anywhere else your device makes network requests. How it works When an app on your device tries to resolve a domain name (like a tracking or ad-serving server), the DNS proxy checks it against locally stored blocklists. If the domain is blocked, the request is silently dropped โ the ad never loads. If it's allowed, the query is forwarded to your chosen DNS resolver over encrypted DNS-over-HTTPS. The included Safari content blocker adds a second layer of protection specifically for web browsing inside Safari, catching cosmetic and path-level ad rules that DNS-only blocking can't reach. What's included โ Filter lists from EasyList, EasyPrivacy, StevenBlack hosts, OISD, AdGuard DNS filter, and 1Hosts Lite. Toggle each list on or off independently. โ Custom allowlist and blocklist for per-domain control. โ Pause protection temporarily (or until you turn it back on). โ Kill switch stops all internet if the DNS filter loses resolver access, preventing unfiltered traffic. โ Daily blocked-count charts and a 7-day activity log on the Activity screen. Your privacy Nothing leaves your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no server logs. The only third-party DNS resolver you interact with is the one you choose โ Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, or AdGuard DNS. Queries are encrypted by default via DNS-over-HTTPS. The app cannot see your browsing content, search history, usernames, or passwords โ only the domain names in DNS queries, and only those that were blocked appear in the local activity log (kept for 90 days). Requirements iOS 18 or later. A physical iPhone is required to use the DNS proxy; the Safari content blocker works on iPad without one.
