GoalLane
Read full descriptionHide full description
Start with the finish, not an endless task list. GoalLane is a personal planner for clear, short-term goals. Define the result you want and when it should be ready, then add the concrete steps that will take you there. Every task belongs to a goal, so today’s work always has a direction. See one path across your active goals: • plan steps by day • see today’s workload and available capacity • spot an overloaded day before promising too much • optionally keep no more than three goals active at once • receive one daily briefing at the time you choose • revisit completed goals and their full step history in the archive Private by design: • no account, advertising, analytics, or app server • keep data only on this iPhone or sync privately through your personal iCloud • protect the app with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode • export and import a portable JSON backup • keep planning with the local copy when you are offline GoalLane does not turn your life into a scoreboard. It helps you choose a finish, make the route realistic, and take the next useful step. Important: data stored only on this iPhone is removed if you delete the app unless you have exported a backup. iCloud sync also syncs deletions and is not a separate backup.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GoalLane at none against Control's 1. GoalLane also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Control sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. GoalLane asks for nothing beyond the download.
