A pocket toolbox for ophthalmology. Twelve clinical tools — screening tests, calculators, cameras, and quick references — in one native iOS app. Built for ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, orthoptists, residents, and medical students. Designed for the bedside, the clinic, and the corridor. Every tool is one tap away from the Home Screen. WHAT'S INSIDE • Eye Drops Guide - a mini-handbook A searchable medication reference covering drug names, classes, forms, concentrations, doses, safety profiles, drug interactions, and more. • VA Conversion Table Meter, Feet, and decimal acuities side-by-side. Convert at a glance. • Retina Viewer Smartphone fundus photography using a 20D lens. Live camera with smooth zoom, capture photos or video, save to Photos. • Nine-Gaze Camera Guide the patient through the nine cardinal gaze positions. The app auto-stitches each frame into a single 3×3 motility montage, ready to save. • Ishihara Test 24-plate color vision screening with a built-in 1–15 scoring table and a protan/deutan classification breakdown. An evidence-appraisal section cites validation studies for digital Ishihara screening — with links to the original papers. • IPD Measurement Measure interpupillary distance via the TrueDepth front camera. • Amsler Grid On-screen central vision testing for macular monitoring. • Cobalt Blue Screen Blue illumination for fluorescein when a cobalt blue light source isn't available — a workaround for low-resource and emergency settings. CLINICAL CALCULATORS Live results as you dial in values, with the formulas and published sources behind every answer. • Age to Bifocal Add Set the patient's age for a tentative near add at 40 cm, with the full age-band table alongside. • Rx Toolkit Transpose between plus and minus cylinder, find the spherical equivalent, and vertex-compensate between spectacle and contact lens powers, rounded to steps you can order. • Prism Toolkit Prentice's rule for both lenses at once: vertical imbalance at the reading level, PD-error prism graded against ANSI Z80.1, and whether decentration can supply a prism or it must be ground in. • AC/A Ratio Calculated and gradient methods side by side, with the working shown. See which binocular vision pattern the findings fit, and predict how a near add will shift the near phoria. DESIGNED FOR CLINICIANS Each tool is built around the way clinicians actually work: short workflows, contextual help sheets with the technique and limitations spelled out, and no marketing fluff. Home Screen quick actions surface the most-used tools — VA Conversion, Search Medications, Cobalt Blue Screen — in one long-press. A NOTE ON SCOPE Ophthalmology Toolbox is a clinical reference and screening companion. It is not a substitute for slit-lamp examination, formal perimetry, or standard ophthalmic equipment when those are available. The Cobalt Blue Screen and digital Ishihara test are best treated as bedside workarounds, with printed plates or proper equipment used to confirm significant findings. The calculators support clinical judgment rather than replace it: an AC/A pattern is a prompt for corroborating findings, not a diagnosis. JUST THE BEGINNING The toolbox is still growing. More clinical utilities and mini-handbooks for common conditions — workups, differentials, examinations — are queued for upcoming releases. If something's missing from your workflow, send a note: the next update might add it. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: This app is intended for educational, informational, and clinical reference purposes only. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, clinical judgment, or consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Users should seek a doctor’s advice before making any medical decisions or acting on information provided by this app. Designed and developed by a clinician, for clinicians.
OptoReflex

OptoReflex turns your iPhone or iPad into a quick, pocket toolkit for screening eye movements and reflexes at the bedside. It brings together classic neuro-ophthalmologic tests in one clean, fast app for clinicians, students and educators. TESTS INCLUDED • Optokinetic Reflex (OKN) Full-screen moving stripes act as a digital optokinetic drum to elicit optokinetic nystagmus. Choose stripe colors (black/white by default), speed, thickness and direction, and see a live preview before you start. Turn the device to landscape and observe the patient's eyes. • Smooth Pursuit & Saccades A target that glides smoothly to test pursuit, or jumps between points to test saccades. Adjustable axis (horizontal, vertical, circular), speed, amplitude, target size and color. • Amsler Grid A standard grid with a central fixation dot to screen the macula for scotomas and metamorphopsia. Normal and inverted modes, full-screen display and step-by-step instructions. • Pupillary Reflex with live pupillometry Uses the rear camera with macro focus as a magnifier. It estimates pupil diameter in real time, tracks the minimum and maximum, and plots the response while a light stimulus ramps from dim to maximum to elicit constriction. Align the iris to the on-screen guide and watch the pupil outline track the response. RECORDING Any test can be recorded. Videos are stored locally on your device with the patient name and date — and, for the pupil test, the live pupil measurements — shown along the bottom of the video. Review, share or export your recordings at any time. MANY LANGUAGES Includes English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and Russian, with an in-app language selector. IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ OptoReflex is a support tool for clinical examination and teaching. It is not a medical or diagnostic device and does not replace validated equipment, specialist assessment or clinical judgment. All measurements, including pupil diameter, are screening estimates that depend on lighting, camera focus and framing, and should be interpreted by a qualified professional.
