About

Carlofolio

Grandparents who invest in ETFs for their grandchildren every month want to know how it is doing. CarloFolio shows them, without online banking and without jargon: What is it worth today? How much has been paid in? How has it grown? HOW IT WORKS 1. The parents set up a portfolio for the grandparents in CarloFolio, with the grandchildren and their savings plans. 2. They show the QR code or send a link. 3. Grandma and Grandpa scan the code with their phone or tablet. Done. When something changes, simply share again and the portfolio updates. FOR GRANDPARENTS • Current value, money paid in and gains at a glance • History as a chart: 1 month, 6 months, 1 year or since the start • A separate view for each grandchild • All holdings and recent purchases clearly listed • Large text, large buttons, gains and losses always shown with an arrow, not just color • View only, nothing to get wrong: only the family can make changes, optionally protected by a PIN FOR PARENTS • Several portfolios, for example for both sets of grandparents • A savings plan in a minute: enter the ISIN or ticker, choose the amount and day of the month • Monthly recurring investments and one-off purchases, with a start and optional end date • Purchases are calculated automatically from real closing prices • Each portfolio in its own currency: dollar, pound, euro, franc and more. Securities in other currencies are converted at the daily rate NO ACCOUNT, NO SERVER CarloFolio needs no sign-up and has no server of its own. All portfolios stay on the device. The app only loads market prices, directly from the price provider (Yahoo Finance by default), automatically at most once a day. No ads, no tracking, no analytics. The source code is available on GitHub. ALSO INCLUDED • Runs on iPhone and iPad, with a two-column layout on iPad • Light and dark mode • Works offline with cached prices • Demo mode with a sample portfolio to try it out • In English and German, following your device language GOOD TO KNOW CarloFolio is an overview, not a bank or broker. The app is not connected to a real brokerage account; it recalculates the savings plans you enter using market prices. Differences from your statement (e.g. due to fees, partial executions or distributions) are possible. Prices without guarantee. Not investment advice.
