Step through any video in your Photos library one frame at a time. Slow it down to a quarter speed, jump back ten seconds, scrub the timeline, do whatever it takes to see exactly what happened in that one moment. No upload, no account, no subscription. The app reads your existing video library and that's the whole story. WHAT IT DOES Frame-by-frame stepping. Swipe across the video to step one frame. Keep holding and the steps pick up to a review-friendly cadence. Variable speeds. Long-press anywhere and slide vertically through speed bands (8x, 2x, 1x, 0.5x, 0.25x). Pick which speeds show up in Settings, anywhere from 1 to 5 of them across the 0.1x to 8x range. Skip ahead or back. Double-tap the left or right edge to jump. Default is 10 seconds, adjustable. Scrub the timeline. Long-press the center to bring up the gesture overlay with a scrub bar. Drag it. No buffering, no lag. Reverse playback. Swipe and hold to the left. The video plays backwards at whatever speed you're holding. Everything stays on your phone. No analytics, no third-party SDKs, no network calls. There is nowhere your video can go because the app has no way to send it. GOOD FOR Coaches breaking down game film. Athletes reviewing their swing or form. Dance and martial arts students working through choreography one beat at a time. Editors spot-checking timing before they touch a real timeline. Or anyone who's tired of how YouTube handles the comma key. REQUIRES iOS 18 or later. Works on iPhone and iPad. Reads only from the Photos library, no streaming, no file imports.

ROVEWORKS CAMERA hands the exposure, the colour and the focus back to you. Instead of stacking several frames to smooth a scene out, it records the single frame that existed the moment you pressed the shutter β€” the way a camera used to. MANUAL CONTROL Turn the dials at the left and right edges to set ISO and shutter speed. Each dial shows only the values your iPhone can actually produce. A three-lamp viewfinder meter tells you where you stand: left for underexposed, right for over, green for right on. RANGEFINDER FOCUS The patch at the centre shows the live image twice, split apart. Turn the half-circle dial around the shutter until the two overlap. Runs on LiDAR distance data, on the wide lens β€” held upright or sideways. FILM LOOKS, BEFORE THE SHOT Twelve film looks render live in the viewfinder through Metal-based 3D LUTs. The colour you see is the colour that gets saved, in photos and in video β€” no picking a filter afterwards. VIDEO Record in OPENGATE, 4K, HD or 720, from 24p to 120p. The menu offers only the combinations your lens can actually record. Your film look, tone curve and grain are rendered into the footage as it records. Set ISO and shutter by hand on the same dials. The slowest shutter is one over the frame rate, and the 180Β° setting is marked. Zebra and focus peaking stay on screen and never go into the file. HEVC video with stereo or mono sound, wind noise reduction, external microphone support and a live level meter. Optional electronic stabilization. If a call or the side button interrupts a take, what you've shot is saved. TWO FILES, ONE SHUTTER A HEIF or JPG with your look applied, recorded in Display P3, and a Bayer RAW .dng with nothing applied at all. One to share now, one to reinterpret later. EVERY LENS Ultra-wide, wide and telephoto on the back, and on iPhone 17, both front focal lengths. Each lens is read at its own native sensor area, so nothing is cropped away that shouldn't be. WHY 12MP On iPhone, a 48MP image has to be assembled from several frames, and that process overrides the exposure you set. We don't stack frames β€” so rear photos are 12MP. You give up the number and get back a picture that matches what you saw. FREE Manual ISO, shutter speed and light meter. Three film looks. White balance, tone curve, grain, sharpness. Autofocus, level indicator, grid. In-app gallery. PRO PACK β€” one-time purchase, no subscription Video recording. Nine more film looks. Rangefinder manual focus. RAW capture. Custom presets. Zebra and focus peaking. Already own Pro Pack? Video is included at no extra cost. The split-image rangefinder patch requires a LiDAR scanner and the wide lens.
