Footprints brings your walks, visited places, and memories together on a map that’s yours to keep. SEE YOUR WORLD Explore a world map of places you’ve visited, from close to home to across the ocean. With your permission, Footprints checks photo dates and locations on your device to help you rediscover past trips. EXPLORE CLOSER TO HOME Fill regional badges as you visit more places. Explore state and county progress in the United States, or counties, cities, townships, and districts in Taiwan. Look closer to discover local neighborhoods and places. In the U.S., natural areas can hold memories without counting toward neighborhood completion. SAVE THE WALK, REMEMBER THE MOMENT Tap Start when you’re ready to walk. Keep your route and distance, then add a Walk Note about the coffee stop, the view, or a small discovery along the way. Miles or kilometers follow your device’s settings. ADD A LITTLE COLOR Choose representative photos for places you care about. Their colors become part of the dots on your map, making each region feel a little more familiar. BRING YOUR MEMORIES TOGETHER Look back at your walks, favorite region, and recent places in your profile. You can also import a Google Timeline JSON file, review the visits before saving, and create a visit timeline video to save to Photos. KEEP IT PERSONAL No account or public profile is required. Your records are stored locally on your iPhone. Personal iCloud backup is optional, and your original photos stay in your photo library. Photo access and anonymous usage analytics are optional too. DOWNLOAD THE MAPS YOU NEED Get the detailed map for your home country during setup. Manage additional country maps in Settings and explore downloaded detail offline. Detailed maps and badges are available for the United States, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan; the world map provides broader regional coverage. Use widgets to check your progress or keep a walk close at hand with Live Activities. For ages 14 and up. Location permission is needed to record routes. Photo-based visits require photos with location information and your permission to access them.
