CM Python With Fun

You learn programming by programming, not by reading. CM Python with fun takes pupils from year 9 onwards from their very first lines of code to their own small games โ right on iPhone or iPad, no computer, no account, and no internet connection required. Every lesson follows the same clear pattern: a short explanation, see an example, change it yourself, write your own code, see the result, understand it. You never read for long โ at most a minute in, a task asks you to type something yourself. THE LEARNING PATH Ten stages, complete from the ground up: from the basics (print, variables, arithmetic) through decisions, loops and lists to functions, strings, dictionaries and error handling. Stage 9 brings five complete projects โ hangman, tic-tac-toe, a quiz app, a text adventure, a rock-paper-scissors tournament โ built in checked stages. A bonus area adds classes & objects, list comprehensions, recursion and searching/sorting. THE PLAYGROUND An editor with syntax highlighting and a console for your own programs, plus turtle graphics for patterns and drawings. A whole set of ready-made templates is built in to get you started โ from "Hello Python" to the new Mandelbrot Gallery, which uses turtle graphics to show new, randomly chosen, multicolor sections of the famous fractal, one after another. The trace view shows step by step what your code is actually doing โ ideal for really understanding a bug instead of just fixing it. ERROR MESSAGES YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ Python error messages are often cryptic for beginners. CM Python with fun translates them into plain language and points exactly to where in the code the problem is. BUILT FOR THE CLASSROOM Teacher mode: unlock every stage instantly, create your own tasks with starter code, a solution, hints and automatic checking, export the whole class's progress as a CSV. Several pupil profiles on one device โ each with its own progress, badges and programs. ALSO INCLUDED Revision with quiz cards and a command reference to look things up. Progress tracking with points and badges, a PDF completion certificate. Interface and learning content fully bilingual, German and English. Light and dark mode, adjustable text size, checked with VoiceOver. Built-in manual with full-text search. A dedicated exchange format for programs and full backups, with optional iCloud sync. YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU Everything is stored locally. No registration, no internet connection required, no advertising, no tracking. Python runs in an embedded interpreter right on the device โ not on a server. The app is completely free. There is no in-app purchase and no locked content.
