Your games are scattered across storefronts, consoles and a decade of half-finished saves. GameCache brings them together into one library that is finally yours. Import from Steam and Xbox to start with the shelf you already have, not an empty one, then add anything else by hand from a catalogue of hundreds of thousands of games, on any platform you play. Everything else is built on top of that: what you're playing, what you've finished, what's still waiting, and what you're hoping for. BUILD YOUR CACHE Import your Steam and Xbox libraries in a couple of taps, with playtime carried across where it's available. Add PC, console and handheld games by hand from the full catalogue. Sort everything into Owned, Playing and Played, keep a backlog you'll actually look at, and a wishlist for everything still to come. TRACK WHAT YOU ACTUALLY PLAY Log sessions and playthroughs and see where your hours really went; per game, per month, and over time. A sessions calendar shows your year at a glance, and playtime adds up automatically as you go. RATE, REVIEW AND RANK Score what you finish and your CacheScore follows, the running average of every rating you've given. Write reviews other players can read and reply to, and build lists and tier lists from anything in the catalogue. SEE WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS PLAYING Follow other players and keep up with what they're finishing. Compare libraries game by game to find the overlap, and the gaps. Reviews have threaded replies, so recommendations turn into conversations. NEVER MISS A RELEASE Get notified when a wishlisted game comes out, when a gaming event is about to start, and when a game you've been playing has been sitting untouched for a while. EARN YOUR PROGRESS Achievements track the things worth tracking; games mastered, hours logged, reviews written, libraries imported. SHARE IT Turn any game, review, list or profile into a share card built for posting, and let people open it straight in the app. YOUR DATA IS YOURS Export everything you've added at any time, and delete your account and its data from inside the app whenever you want. No waiting on a support request. GameCache is free to use and supported by ads. Game data powered by IGDB.

Standing at a game store and can't remember if you already own it? GameMonster answers in seconds, down to the exact copy, even with no signal. Scan a whole shelf with one photo, track every copy you own, and hunt your wishlist with a price limit. Free, with no account, no ads and no cap on how many games you add. KNOW WHAT YOU OWN, INSTANTLY Search your collection and over 78,000 games right in the aisle. The game list lives on your device, so it works without a signal. You can also check from Spotlight or ask Siri "Do I own this game in GameMonster" without opening the app. ADD YOUR SHELF IN MINUTES Take a photo of your games, spines or covers, and GameMonster reads the titles on your device. You review the results and add them all in one tap. Nothing gets added until you say yes. Already keep a list somewhere else? Import a spreadsheet or a CSV export from another collection app. GameMonster matches each row and shows you the ones it isn't sure about. EVERY COPY, EXACTLY Each game gets one page with every copy you own on it: • Disc, cartridge, digital download or Game-Key Card • Complete in box, loose or new, and which parts you have • Region: NTSC-U, PAL, NTSC-J and more • Edition, picked from the game's real editions Track consoles and accessories too, from NES and PS1 to PS5 and Switch 2. HUNT SMARTER Set the most you'll pay for each game on your wishlist, mark your grails, and plan upgrades, like replacing a loose copy with a complete one. Upcoming games show their release date. When you find one, tap Bought It and it moves to your collection. Recent sold listings are one tap away when you want to check a price. ASK MONSTER AI Ask about your collection in plain words: "Which of my PS2 games are complete in box?" or "What do I want to play next?" You can also ask about any game in the list, like who made it or when it came out. Answers come from your collection and the game list, privately with Apple Intelligence. SEE THE WHOLE PICTURE • Games per platform, genres and release years • How much of your collection is complete in box • What you've spent, and how your collection has grown • Want to Play, Playing and Completed for your backlog • Series progress, like "You own 3 of 10" • Coming Soon for the platforms you collect ON IPHONE, IPAD AND IPHONE DUO On iPad and an open iPhone Duo, your shelf and the game you pick sit side by side, upright or sideways. YOUR COLLECTION STAYS YOURS There's no account to create and nothing is tracked. Your collection lives on your iPhone or iPad and syncs through your own private iCloud. GameMonster backs it up on your device every day, and you can export it to a backup file or a spreadsheet at any time. The game list updates on its own every week, so new releases show up without an app update. Monster AI chat needs an iPhone or iPad with Apple Intelligence and iOS 27. On other devices, it still tells you whether you own a game. Game data provided by IGDB.com.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: GameMonster at none against GameCache's shown. GameMonster also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). GameCache's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
GameMonster holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GameCache has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
GameCache ships an update weekly, GameMonster every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
