PuzzleShift
Read full descriptionHide full description
PuzzleShift is a picture puzzle game built around colorful fantasy artwork. Each level cuts an image into tiles, shuffles the board, and asks you to restore the original picture. Play two puzzle styles: Slide mode moves adjacent tiles into the empty space, while Swap mode lets you drag two tiles to trade places. Choose 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5 boards as you unlock more challenges. The game is designed for short, focused sessions. You can undo moves, preview the reference image, replay cleared levels, chase better move counts, and collect stars across scenes, characters, and fantasy pets. PuzzleShift works as a local single-player game. It does not require an account, does not use third-party ad tracking, and stores progress on your device. Each image is built for puzzle play, with clear subjects, varied corners, color clues, and recognizable scene details. Use observation, memory, and tile strategy to restore the artwork, improve your best move counts, and progress from relaxed 3x3 boards to sharper 4x4 and 5x5 challenges. Print the masterpieces of Japan, one puzzle at a time. Ukiyo-e Puzzle turns the greatest Japanese woodblock prints — Hokusai's Great Wave, Hiroshige's rain and snow, Sharaku's actors — into beautiful, relaxing puzzles. Solve one, and watch it "printed" before your eyes: first the ink-line block, then the colors, then the artist's seal. ■ A Playable Museum · 24 authentic masterpieces in museum quality · Every artwork is genuine public-domain art, courtesy of The Art Institute of Chicago · Solve a puzzle to add the print to your Storehouse gallery · Each print comes with a short story: what you're seeing, and why it matters ■ Three Collections [Hokusai] Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji — including The Great Wave and Red Fuji. Free to play [Hiroshige] Edo and the Tōkaidō Road — rain, snow, moonlight and plum gardens [Beauties & Actors] Utamaro, Sharaku, Harunobu and the golden age of portraits The full Hokusai collection is free. One single purchase unlocks the other two collections forever — no subscription. ■ Two Ways to Play · Swap mode — tap two pieces to exchange them. Relaxing, no pressure, always solvable · Slide mode — a classic sliding puzzle for a real challenge · Difficulty grows gently from 12 to 24 pieces · Stuck? Hold the board to peek at the original ■ The Printing Moment Ukiyo-e prints were made by pressing layer after layer — ink lines first, then each color from its own carved block. When you complete a puzzle, you see exactly that: the sumi lines appear, the colors bloom, and the red seal stamps your work. ■ Quiet by Design · No ads, no subscription, no accounts · Fully offline · Progress saved automatically · English and Japanese Five minutes with a masterpiece. That's all it takes.
