echor is a quiet note-taking app for saving ideas that come to you and lines that stay with you—without organizing them, so you can encounter them again someday. Folders aren’t your thing. Keeping notes neatly organized never lasts. Still, when a phrase comes to mind or a sentence feels worth remembering, you want somewhere to leave it without letting it disappear. That’s what echor is for. Most note apps are designed to organize information or help you work more efficiently. But not every thought can be categorized right away. An idea before it becomes a story. A line that lingers after a book or film. Something someone said that you can’t quite forget. A feeling you don’t yet have a name for. A seed of an idea that may become something someday. echor is a place to quietly leave those small fragments, without deciding where they belong. ■ Capture a thought as soon as it appears Save short lines and ideas the moment they come to you. ・Seeds for stories and creative work ・Lines from books and novels ・Dialogue from films and comics ・Fragments of conversation ・Late-night thoughts, unease, and realizations ・Quotes and phrases you want to revisit No folders or categories required. Leave a thought just as it is, before you organize it. ■ Rediscover words from your past Three of your saved entries appear unexpectedly in speech bubbles. Something your past self wrote may reach you differently now. New ideas may emerge from the unexpected combination of words shown together. Notifications can also bring back something you saved before. Not to remind you of a task, but to help you encounter a forgotten thought again. ■ Look back on what you’ve collected All the words you’ve saved are always available in one list. Even without careful organization, they gradually accumulate over time. When something no longer needs to stay, you can let it go. ■ Keep longer thoughts in Notes When an idea or piece of writing is too long for a short entry, you can keep it in Notes. A place for fragments, and a place to think a little longer. Both can live in the same app. ■ Copy, share, back up, and restore Copy saved words as text or turn them into an image to share. Backup and restore are supported, so your words can move with you when you change devices. You don’t have to write every day like a diary. You don’t have to organize everything neatly like a notebook. It doesn’t have to be productive like a work memo. The words you keep may one day trace the outline of who you are. echor is for people who want a quiet place to keep ideas, reading notes, film notes, quotes, and fragments of conversation together. Available in Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.

Put your own words on your Home Screen. Kotoba is a custom text widget with no subscription: the lines you love — from books, films, people, or promises you made to yourself — pinned to your Home Screen or Lock Screen. No ads, no notifications, no account. Pro also adds a word of the day widget that works offline — 365 English words with definitions and examples — and 365 Stoic quotes from Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Epictetus. Kotoba is your own private dictionary of phrases. Collect the lines you love and pin your favorite one as a widget. Not a feed to scroll: one phrase, chosen by you, waiting where you already look. ■ What it does (free) ・Save a phrase with its source, tags, and background color (up to 20) ・Browse them as a stack of cards, like a wallet ・Pull down to fan the cards open ・Tap to edit, swipe left to delete ・Filter by tag, search by keyword ・Sort by the date you added them ・Pin one phrase to a widget — Home Screen small, medium or large, and three Lock Screen styles (one widget) ・Tap the widget to open that phrase in the app ・Export your phrases as text ・Export a backup (for when you change phones) ■ Kotoba Pro (a one-time purchase, not a subscription) ・As many phrases as you like ・As many widgets as you like ・A new phrase each hour, day or week: one of your own, narrowed by tag if you like ・Widget looks: choose the font (standard, serif or rounded), text size and alignment for each widget ・Import a backup: bring your phrases back on a new device ・iCloud sync: your phrases, tags and display settings, the same on your iPhone and iPad ・Packs, built in and offline: Word of the day (365 English words) and Stoic quotes (365). One appears on your widget each day Reaching the limit never deletes anything you already saved. Only adding new ones stops. ■ Made for ・Anyone who writes down lines from books and films ・Anyone who wants their motto in sight, every day ・Anyone who wants a Home Screen in their own words No notifications. No account. No ads. Your words are saved on your device. With Pro's iCloud sync, they stay in step across your own devices through your iCloud. They never reach the developer. To improve the app, only anonymous usage (the app was opened, a widget was displayed) is sent. Never the phrases you save, and never your name, email, or advertising ID. You can turn it off under Privacy in the menu.
