WHAT'S INSIDE - Panchang & Muhurta. Daily tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, rahu kaal, abhijit and brahma muhurta. All times computed locally from your GPS sunrise — no generic city-level approximations. - Bhajan Library. Hanuman Chalisa, Shiva Tandav Stotram, Vishnu Sahasranama, Krishna kirtans, and regional folk bhajans. Stream or download for offline listening. Sing along — recordings stay on your device. - Find a Guruji. Search nearby priests by speciality — puja, kundali reading, marriage, annaprashan, mundan. View ratings, message, FaceTime, or book in-app with Apple Pay. - Mandir Finder. Tirtha sthal, neighborhood temples, mahatmya. Tap for directions and opening hours. - Festival Reminders. Dashain, Tihar, Teej, Sankranti, Saraswati Puja, and every parva — auto-scheduled to your local sunrise so the notification fires at the right time, not Kathmandu time. - Sacred Texts. Bhagavad Gita with translation, Upanishads, Stotram library, Vedic Sanskrit corpus, Swasthani Brata Katha. - Sankalpa Builder. Guided vow-taking before puja. Biometric-locked, because it's personal. - Vansh Tree. Record your family lineage, pitru smarana, kula puja history. Stored on-device. - Vastu, Kundali, Hastarekha. Quick reference tools and beginner-friendly readings. - Khel. Chess, carrom, chungi, mithai mel — devotional and traditional games for the whole family. PRIVACY FIRST Your data stays on your device. No advertising, no tracking. Sign-in is only required when you book a priest or save a Sankalpa — everything else works without an account. THREE LANGUAGES Full app in Nepali, Hindi, and English. Switch languages anytime — no restart needed. FOUR THEMES Temple mode bathes the entire interface in a warm 6% saffron tint that mimics diya light in a dim mandir. Pahade Kagaj gives bhajan readers a tactile paper feel. Plus standard light and dark modes. ACCESSIBLE BY DESIGN Built for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Devanagari-aware keyboards, large-text support, VoiceOver labels throughout. Works fully offline for the panchang, bhajans, and sacred texts. FEEDBACK Subhasahit is built by a small team. Deva is a digital prayer book for Hindu devotional texts. Forty-eight works — slokas, mantras, ashtottarams, stotras, the Hanuman Chalisa and the Lalitha and Vishnu Sahasranamams — presented as pages to turn, not as articles to scroll. Text is laid out for reading and reciting, with a running head, a folio line, and pages that repaginate around your font size rather than forcing you to pinch and zoom. READING • Swipe through pages laid out from the actual text, at your chosen size • Telugu, with Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and English transliteration • Converted scripts are labelled as converted, never passed off as the source • Four page themes, including a sepia and a night setting • Show the original alone, or with transliteration and meaning together • Your place is kept per verse, so it survives a change of font or language GUIDED READ • A highlight follows the line you are on, letter by letter, and turns the page when it reaches the bottom • Both scripts colour in step, so following along in transliteration works • Three speeds, a pause on any tap, and a beat between lines to draw breath CHANT MODE • Verse-by-verse for longer works, whole-mantra repetition for mantras • A digital mala that counts with a tap, with haptic feedback • Session history, so you can see what you have completed YOUR LIBRARY • Search across the whole library as you type • Browse by deity or by kind of work • Favourites, bookmarks, and Continue Reading OFFLINE Every text is bundled with the app. Deva makes no network requests at all — it works on a plane, in a temple basement, or with the phone in airplane mode. PRIVACY Deva has no servers and collects nothing. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no permissions requested. What you read stays on your phone. A NOTE ON THE TEXTS Devotional text carries a duty of care. Every verse in Deva was supplied by hand and imported without correction, spell-checking or normalisation. Where a script was produced by converting another, the app says so on the page rather than letting it pass as the source. Signing in is optional. Reading never requires an account.
