Bitesize Skills vs Ellii Students

The companion app for the language class you're already taking. Most language apps push you into a generic curriculum that has nothing to do with what you actually learn in class. Bitesize Skills works the other way around: it builds your daily practice on top of your real lesson — using only the grammar and vocabulary your teacher has already covered. The result is practice that finally reinforces what you study in class, instead of competing with it. ▸ HOW IT WORKS Each Bitesize Skills lesson is generated directly from one of your real classroom lessons. From that source material, the app produces: • A clear summary of the lesson's key concepts. • Three target-language dialogues that use only the vocabulary and grammar from that lesson — so every word is one you've actually been taught. • Listen-and-repeat audio drills, designed around the proven listen-first method that turns passive listening into active recall. Hear it, repeat it, internalize it. • Smart flashcards with spaced repetition. Tap "Know it" or "Don't know" — the app focuses on what hasn't stuck yet. • Listening-comprehension quizzes. Short multiple-choice questions in the target language to verify you actually understood, not just memorized. ▸ WHY THIS WORKS You can't learn a language from scratch in 15 minutes a day. But you can reinforce a real lesson in 15 minutes a day — and that's where most students lose ground. Bitesize Skills is not a replacement course. It's the practice layer that sits underneath your real learning: your tutor, your textbook, your university course, or your in-person class. Every word in every dialogue, flashcard, and quiz comes from material you've actually been taught. No surprise vocabulary. No "where did this come from?" moments. Just compound practice on the language you already chose to learn. ▸ FEATURES • Personal dashboard — see all your courses and progress at a glance. • Daily streak and a simple 15-minute daily goal — keep the habit, skip the shame. • Line-by-line dialogue replay with closed captions in both languages. • Stay in sync with your teacher — switch lessons instantly to match what was covered in class today. • Audio-first design with adjustable playback speed. • Flashcards with spaced repetition. • Listening-comprehension quizzes in the target language. ▸ WORKS IN ANY LANGUAGE Bitesize Skills isn't built for one language — it's built for yours. Lessons are generated directly from your teacher's source materials, in whatever language those materials are written in. Spanish, Russian, French, Mandarin, Arabic, German — if your teacher uses it, the app uses it. No curriculum lock-in. No language gates. Your daily practice always matches your real class. ▸ WHO IT'S FOR Bitesize Skills is for serious language learners who already have a teacher, a course, or a textbook — and who want their phone time to compound what they're studying, not distract from it. If you're working through a language class and your daily practice feels disconnected from what you're actually learning, this is the app that fixes that. Free to start. No ads. No interruptions. Just steady daily progress. Visit bitesizeskills.com to learn more.
