Download models from Hugging Face, attach photos and PDFs, and stream replies entirely on your device. Nimbus8 Pro (one-time in-app purchase) unlocks: • Cirrus — repo-aware coding agent with inline diffs • Ashe — confirm-first background agents and scheduled Hands • Mist — hybrid local search with optional web layer • Mirage — on-device image generation • Stratus — camera, OCR, and vision Q&A • Overture — speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and audio tools • Zephyr — on-device translation • Haze — cross-module memory and recall Built native in Swift with a Rust core. No Nimbus account required. Optional cloud inference. No telemetry. Models you choose are downloaded to your device and run locally. Bloks turns AI agents into little colleagues that live on your Mac. This is their phone app. Pair it with Bloks on your Mac by reading a six digit code off its screen. From then on, your agents are in your pocket: see what each one is working on, answer the question that is blocking one, approve or refuse the thing it wants to do, and watch a room of them work through a plan together. Answers arrive as the thing itself rather than a wall of text: a chart, a checklist, a decision with its options laid out. When an agent needs you, your phone buzzes, and the answer is one tap away. Your agents run on your Mac, with your own provider keys. The phone talks to your Mac directly, there is no account to create, and there are no analytics and no tracking in this app. New here? The app opens with a sample workspace so you can feel how it works before connecting your own. Bloks for Mac is free and open source: github.com/hamedgitty/bloks

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bloks at none against Nimbus8's 2. Bloks also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and review sentiment (100% vs 89%). Nimbus8's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
