Kidstronic teaches kids how electronics really work by letting them BUILD real circuits with their own hands — in a fun, safe 3D workshop, no soldering iron required. Drag a battery onto the workbench, wire it to an LED, and watch it glow the instant the circuit is complete. No diagrams to memorize, no risk, no mess — just hands-on cause and effect that turns curiosity into real STEM understanding. WHY PARENTS LIKE IT • Free to start, guest mode by default — no forced login or account just to play • No third-party ads and no ad tracking — the only cross-promo is a single card for our own sister app • A dedicated Parent Zone with a private dashboard showing exactly what your child has practiced • A Parent Gate question stands between kids and any purchase or subscription screen • Friendly character guides (Bora the Battery, Lila the LED, and friends) explain every concept in short, playful lines a 7-10 year old can follow solo BUILD REAL CIRCUITS IN 3D Kids drag components onto a workbench and wire them exactly like a real engineer would: tap a glowing pin, tap another, and the wire snaps into place. Get the polarity wrong and the app shows them why — flip it and watch the part light up correctly. Short circuits, reversed parts, and overvoltage are all explained in plain language instead of just failing silently. It's trial, error, and discovery, not a quiz with one right answer to memorize. Designed with no reading required, so kids as young as 7 can play independently. 5 WORLDS, 40+ LEVELS Progress through Light World, Sound World, Motion World, Sensor World, and Smart World, each unlocking a new set of components: LEDs and RGB LEDs, switches and buttons, resistors, buzzers and speakers, motors and fans, light and temperature sensors, and even AND/OR/NOT logic gates. Difficulty ramps gently from a first spark to master-level free builds, so kids are always challenged but never stuck. STORY MODE — 26 REAL GADGETS TO BUILD Beyond the core curriculum, Story Mode walks kids step-by-step through building recognizable gadgets: a night lamp, a doorbell, a burglar alarm, a mini race car, a traffic light, a rocket launcher, a submarine, a dinosaur egg incubator, a logic-gate castle drawbridge, and dozens more. Each finished build earns a themed badge and a "you built it!" celebration moment, with a gentle "solve it for me" hint if a young builder gets stuck. DAILY PUZZLE & QUIZ MODE A fresh circuit puzzle unlocks every day, with a streak counter and a 30-day archive to replay past challenges. "Test Yourself" quizzes check what your child actually learned in each world — components, vocabulary, and circuit logic — with clear explanations for anything they get wrong. FREE BUILD SANDBOX Once a world is mastered, kids get an open workbench with every part unlocked and zero rules, so they can experiment and invent their own circuits freely. BUILT FOR PARENTS, TOO The Parent Zone shows worlds completed, levels cleared, stars earned, quizzes passed, and the concepts your child has actually practiced — batteries, polarity, parallel circuits, logic gates, and more — so you always know what's next. Kidstronic's free levels let any child start building today. A Kidstronic Pro subscription (monthly or yearly, with a free trial period) unlocks every world, every level, every component, and the Free Build sandbox — cancel anytime from your store account settings. More than a game, Kidstronic is a hands-on introduction to electronics, circuit logic, and engineering — the kind of screen time that builds real problem-solving skills. Give your child the workbench and let them light up their first idea today. Ohmira

Ohmira turns electronics into something you can see. Place real components on a grid, wire them together, press Run, and watch voltage colour the wires while moving dots show you where the current goes. No account. No ads. Nothing to sign up for. BUILD IT Drag a part onto the grid and drag between terminals to wire it. Parts snap to the grid, wires route themselves around what is in the way, and every action can be undone. Tidy a messy circuit with one tap and it redraws itself as a schematic: the source standing up on the left, the ground at the bottom. OBSERVE IT Run the circuit and it stays live. Wires take the colour of their voltage, from grey at 0 V to indigo at the supply. Dots travel along them at the speed of the current. Tap any part to read its voltage, its current and its power, or pin the readings to the canvas and watch them change as you edit. LEARN IT Thirty exercises, in three tiers, from Ohm's law to a regulated power supply. Each one gives you a brief and then checks the circuit you actually built, not a multiple-choice question about it. When it fails, it tells you why in words about your circuit: a part missing, a value wrong, a node left unwired, a reading that came out too low. WHAT IS IN THE BOX • 43 components: sources, batteries, resistors, capacitors, inductors, potentiometers, diodes, LEDs, Zeners, transistors, MOSFETs, an op-amp, bridge rectifiers, regulators, a transformer, relays, lamps, motors, buzzers, thermistors, photoresistors, and probes • DC analysis and a transient simulation that draws real waveforms • A single-channel oscilloscope with a 1-2-5 timebase, mean and peak-to-peak • Ten starter circuits, from a single loop to a MOSFET stage • Annotated zones for labelling parts of a circuit • Import and export as a file, and private iCloud sync between your iPhone and iPad MADE FOR IPHONE AND IPAD A workspace on iPad with floating panels, an Apple Pencil and a pointer welcome, keyboard shortcuts, and a canvas-first layout on iPhone. Full VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, Increase Contrast, and colour-blind indicators. Colour is never the only thing that carries meaning. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your circuits live on your device. iCloud sync, if you want it, uses your own private database, never an account of ours and never a shared server. Ohmira collects no data, contains no analytics, and tracks nothing. There is no backend to leak. FREE, AND WHAT IS NOT Ohmira is free, with no time limit and no cap on how many circuits you keep. The free app includes the whole editor, fifteen fundamental parts, the full DC simulation, iCloud sync, import and export, the first ten exercises, and six starter circuits. Ohmira Complete is one purchase, with no subscription and shared with your family. It adds the other 28 components, the remaining 20 exercises, and the oscilloscope. Ohmira is a teaching simulator, not a SPICE replacement: it is built to make circuits understandable, not to certify a design for manufacture.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Kids Electronics at none against Ohmira's 1. Kids Electronics also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ohmira sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Kids Electronics asks for nothing beyond the download.
