Kids Electronics
Read full descriptionHide full description
Kidstronic teaches kids how electronics really work by letting them BUILD real circuits with their own hands โ in a fun, safe 3D workshop, no soldering iron required. Drag a battery onto the workbench, wire it to an LED, and watch it glow the instant the circuit is complete. No diagrams to memorize, no risk, no mess โ just hands-on cause and effect that turns curiosity into real STEM understanding. WHY PARENTS LIKE IT โข Free to start, guest mode by default โ no forced login or account just to play โข No third-party ads and no ad tracking โ the only cross-promo is a single card for our own sister app โข A dedicated Parent Zone with a private dashboard showing exactly what your child has practiced โข A Parent Gate question stands between kids and any purchase or subscription screen โข Friendly character guides (Bora the Battery, Lila the LED, and friends) explain every concept in short, playful lines a 7-10 year old can follow solo BUILD REAL CIRCUITS IN 3D Kids drag components onto a workbench and wire them exactly like a real engineer would: tap a glowing pin, tap another, and the wire snaps into place. Get the polarity wrong and the app shows them why โ flip it and watch the part light up correctly. Short circuits, reversed parts, and overvoltage are all explained in plain language instead of just failing silently. It's trial, error, and discovery, not a quiz with one right answer to memorize. Designed with no reading required, so kids as young as 7 can play independently. 5 WORLDS, 40+ LEVELS Progress through Light World, Sound World, Motion World, Sensor World, and Smart World, each unlocking a new set of components: LEDs and RGB LEDs, switches and buttons, resistors, buzzers and speakers, motors and fans, light and temperature sensors, and even AND/OR/NOT logic gates. Difficulty ramps gently from a first spark to master-level free builds, so kids are always challenged but never stuck. STORY MODE โ 26 REAL GADGETS TO BUILD Beyond the core curriculum, Story Mode walks kids step-by-step through building recognizable gadgets: a night lamp, a doorbell, a burglar alarm, a mini race car, a traffic light, a rocket launcher, a submarine, a dinosaur egg incubator, a logic-gate castle drawbridge, and dozens more. Each finished build earns a themed badge and a "you built it!" celebration moment, with a gentle "solve it for me" hint if a young builder gets stuck. DAILY PUZZLE & QUIZ MODE A fresh circuit puzzle unlocks every day, with a streak counter and a 30-day archive to replay past challenges. "Test Yourself" quizzes check what your child actually learned in each world โ components, vocabulary, and circuit logic โ with clear explanations for anything they get wrong. FREE BUILD SANDBOX Once a world is mastered, kids get an open workbench with every part unlocked and zero rules, so they can experiment and invent their own circuits freely. BUILT FOR PARENTS, TOO The Parent Zone shows worlds completed, levels cleared, stars earned, quizzes passed, and the concepts your child has actually practiced โ batteries, polarity, parallel circuits, logic gates, and more โ so you always know what's next. Kidstronic's free levels let any child start building today. A Kidstronic Pro subscription (monthly or yearly, with a free trial period) unlocks every world, every level, every component, and the Free Build sandbox โ cancel anytime from your store account settings. More than a game, Kidstronic is a hands-on introduction to electronics, circuit logic, and engineering โ the kind of screen time that builds real problem-solving skills. Give your child the workbench and let them light up their first idea today. TinyOhms

TinyOhms opens straight onto a breadboard. Drop in a battery, a resistor and an LED, and the circuit runs the moment the loop closes. Current flows along the wires as moving chevrons, the LED glows brighter or dimmer with the real numbers, and if you push too much current through it, it pops. Nothing to install, nothing to solder, nothing to break. REAL PARTS, REAL MATH Every component behaves like the one in the drawer: resistors follow Ohm's law, LEDs have a forward voltage, transistors amplify, capacitors charge and drain, and the 555 timer ticks at the frequency its resistors and capacitor set. Under the hood is a full circuit solver (the same kind of nodal analysis SPICE uses), so the readouts are the ones you would measure with a meter. SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING โข Live current flow on every wire, with direction and strength โข Inspect mode: tap the eye to read every node voltage and branch current โข A built-in scope that traces voltages over time โ watch a capacitor charge, or a 555 output square wave โข Real sound: buzzers beep and piezo speakers play the pitch the circuit sets โข Room-light and temperature sliders to drive light sensors and thermistors โข Short-circuit and overload warnings before anything "burns" BUILT FOR LEARNING TinyOhms is made for teens and any complete beginner. There is no lesson to sit through: build, watch, change one thing, and see what happens. Twenty ready circuits take you from a single LED to a light-following night light, a blinking timer, a one-shot pulse, a pitch control you can hear, and a traffic-light sequencer built from a 555 and a 4017 counter. YOUR OWN LIBRARY Sign in with just your email (a code, no password) to save circuits to your library and open them on the TinyOhms website Workbench too. Export any board as a SPICE netlist or share the board file. ON THE BENCH Free: wire, jumper, batteries (3 V, 4.5 V, 9 V), resistor, LED, switch, push button, buzzer, light sensor (LDR) and NPN transistor โ everything the beginner projects need. TinyOhms Pro (optional monthly subscription): potentiometer, capacitor, 1N4001 diode, DC motor, thermistor, piezo speaker, the 555 timer and the CD4017 counter. Circuits from the library always open in full, whether or not you subscribe. TinyOhms Pro renews monthly until cancelled in Settings โบ Apple Account โบ Subscriptions. Under 18? Ask a parent first. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Kids Electronics at none against TinyOhms's 1. TinyOhms's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
