inkScript

Use inkScript to turn your e-book device into a screen you look at as you type your text. This means no more eye-strain, no more distractions and, certainly, no AI. Your iOS device or a Mac serves as a host where the texts are stored, but you donβt ever have to look at its screen while typing. Setup takes a couple of minutes, and if youβre not yet ready to get a Bluetooth keyboard to connect to your iPhone, start with the Mac version; switching between iOS and Mac is seamless. Just push an icon to turn the laptopβs screen off so it doesnβt distract you. Your Kindle is not just a screen when writing with inkScript: you touch it to scroll through the text, move the cursor or select a fragment, to copy, paste, undo and redo the changes, etc. With a subscription active, you also have a wide choice of fonts; you can turn βflow modeβ on to write the first draft with minimal editing and have the application imitate typewriter sounds. Your app is not there just to write drafts; you have a fully functional system to organise the texts into folders, preview them, search, pin the text youβre working on, etc. When youβre in a hurry and have trouble reaching for your Kindle, just use inkScript to jot down your thoughts the way you use a regular note-taking app. Every writerβs flow is personal, but if you are still looking for that perfect tool β one that lets your imagination step away from the digital noise but doesnβt feel ancient β try inkScript: this might well be it! Word Sprint
Read full descriptionHide full description
You don't finish a book in a weekend. You finish it 500 words at a time. Word Sprint gives you one clear number each day: how many words it takes to finish your book by your deadline. Write them, log them, keep the streak alive. Miss a day and the math quietly adjusts β no guilt trip, just a new number tomorrow. Write extra and you'll watch tomorrow's number shrink while you log. THE DAILY HABIT Set a word goal and a deadline. Word Sprint works out today's target, tracks your pace against the finish line, and counts the days you show up. Planned rest days never break a streak. Take Sundays off. The app knows. WRITING SPRINTS Pick 10, 15, 30 minutes, or your own. Write until it rings. The countdown sits in the Dynamic Island while your phone is locked, and the alarm is one of ten little melodies β soft piano, guitar, celesta β that ring until you stop them. No jarring buzzers. YOUR WRITING CIRCLE Invite a friend who's writing their own book. You see each other show up: goal hits, streaks, milestones. Never each other's word counts, never each other's writing. Send a cheer when they have a good day. Or challenge them to a write-off β same minutes on the clock, most words wins, loser buys the coffee. Invite-only, pen names only, and entirely optional. WATCH IT ADD UP A heatmap fills in as the months pass. A calendar keeps every day's words and notes. Milestones land with confetti at 1,000 words, 10,000, halfway, and the day you type "The End." Badges, share cards, and a Year in Words when December comes. MAKE IT YOURS One book free, or a whole shelf with Premium. Covers you design yourself, with palettes, artwork, or a photo. Widgets for the Home and Lock Screen. Light or dark, whichever hours you keep. Writing 50,000 words in November? The deadline math was made for months like that. (Word Sprint isn't affiliated with any writing organization or challenge β it's just built for the same goal.) PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your writing lives on your device. No account required, no ads, no tracking. The circle is free; Premium adds cloud sync with Sign in with Apple so your books follow you to a new phone. Premium is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, managed through your App Store account. The free plan includes three books, every habit feature, and no time limit.
