**Run your season, together.** Most hunting apps give you a map and call it a day. Ember runs your whole season — where your crew is hunting, whether everyone made it home, and where your best odds are tonight. Solo, family, or a 30-member club across four properties: built for how you actually hunt. **Group & Club Management** No more group texts that never end. Members, properties, stands, rules, and tasks in one place. Assign stands, track harvests, and keep the crew on the same page. One club purchase can cover the roster so members are not buying their own apps. **Safety Check-Ins & SOS** Your people shouldn't have to wonder if you're okay. Ember tells them you're safe — and alerts them if you're overdue. Out of service? It fires the moment you reconnect. Need help now? SOS is on the map: one tap to call 911, or hold to alert your crew. *(Check-in and SOS are convenience tools, not a replacement for 911 or a personal locator beacon, and depend on cellular connectivity. 911 is a native phone call.)* **Know Why a Stand Is Good — Not Just That It Is** Breakdown weighs wind, weather, terrain, and pressure to score your stands — and shows the reasons for and against each one, tonight, on your ground. Scout Spot lets you aim the crosshair anywhere and preview a score before you drop a pin. New to hunting? It teaches you to read the woods, not just follow a number. **Maps You Can Hunt On — Including Offline** Download map regions and keep elevation, cover, property lines, and pins with zero bars. Draw named trails, add photos, and control who sees them. Switching apps? Import markers and boundaries (GPX/KML, including onX Hunt exports) so you are not starting over. **Journal, Pressure & Best Days** Log sightings, harvests, and sits. Track pressure so you know when a stand needs to rest. Home now leads with your stats, today's conditions, and Best Days Ahead. Every check-in and sighting sharpens the picture for the whole club. **Instant Deer & Animal Scoring** Snap a photo for a score estimate — no tape, no waiting. Harvest, sighting, and target-animal photos can score automatically. **Hunt on your terms.** Start free. Go Annual, buy a Season Pass that ends when the season does (nothing renews), or cover the club with one purchase. We'll never start charging you for something that used to be free. Ember is for the solo hunter who wants every edge, the family that hunts together, and the club tired of running the season out of a group chat. --- I'm a new hunter building Ember for my own first season — the tool I want when I'm staring at maps, weather apps, and advice that never tells me *why*. One place to learn the woods, hunt smarter, and make sure everyone gets home. **Subscription details** Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in App Store account settings. Gydepoint scores the ground you actually hunt. Draw any area on the map — a drainage, a unit, a block of public land — and Gydepoint ranks the best spots inside it for the species and the date you pick. Not a heat map you have to interpret. A short list of real coordinates, each one scored and explained in plain language. HOW IT WORKS Draw your own area. Any shape, any size. You are not limited to preset units or somebody else's grid. Pick a species and a date. Scoring is tied to the date you choose, because a September bench and a November bench are not the same place. Get ten scored spots. Each one carries a score, the terrain and habitat behind it, and a straight explanation of why it ranked where it did. See why. Every spot lists the signals that moved it — vegetation, elevation band, water distance, road distance, security cover, slope and more. When a signal could not be measured, it says so instead of inventing a number. WHAT IT WEIGHS • Habitat modeling per species, tied to the selected date • Terrain — elevation, slope, relief and escape cover • Wind and thermals, including whether you can approach without being winded • Water distance and cover type • Road and trail distance, and how far you would actually walk • Public land boundaries from PAD-US ROUTES AND ACCESS Gydepoint does not stop at a pin. It finds a place to park and a route in, weighing distance, climb, and whether the wind is in your face on the last stretch — because a good spot you cannot approach cleanly is not a good spot. FILTERS THAT ACTUALLY FILTER Set a maximum slope, a hike difficulty, a distance to water, public land only. Spots that fail your limits are removed, not quietly ranked lower. If nothing survives, Gydepoint tells you which filter did it rather than pretending the country is empty. SPECIES Big game — whitetail, mule deer, blacktail, Coues, elk, moose, caribou, bison, pronghorn, black bear, brown bear, mountain lion, bighorn sheep, dall sheep, mountain goat, javelina, musk ox and more. Upland and small game — turkey, pheasant, dove, wild hog, coyote. Waterfowl — ducks, Canada geese, snow geese, white-fronted geese, brant. MAPS Satellite and topo basemaps, public land boundaries, forest and BLM roads, motor vehicle use routes, trails and trailheads, wilderness areas, water, vegetation, and cell coverage so you know where you lose service. HONEST BY DESIGN Gydepoint tells you what it does not know. If a signal is missing for a spot, it is left out rather than filled in with an average. Scores you can check are worth more than scores that always sound confident. SUBSCRIPTION Gydepoint Lite and Gydepoint Pro are auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Always confirm land status, access permission and current regulations with the managing agency before you hunt. Verdict
Ember Hunt and Gydepoint are too close to call on the numbers: across 10 compared parameters — price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
