Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SPECS at none against My Digital Shoes's 3. SPECS also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 1). My Digital Shoes's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Digital Shoes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. SPECS asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SPECS against 5.0 for My Digital Shoes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SPECS has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
SPECS ships an update monthly, My Digital Shoes every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
