Just two honest ways to shoot — and full manual control over both. — TWO MODES, ONE TAP APART — ZERO AI Single-exposure RAW DNG, straight from the sensor. No multi-frame stacking, no computational re-painting, no hidden noise reduction. What your iPhone's sensor recorded is exactly what lands on your roll — plus a developed image, every shot. STANDARD Apple's full computational pipeline when you want it. Smart HDR, Deep Fusion, ProRAW — all available, all under your control. — DSLR-STYLE MANUAL CONTROLS — • ISO 100–6400, locked or auto • Shutter 1/8000s to 1 second • White balance: manual Kelvin (2500K–9000K) + Daylight, Cloudy, Shade, Tungsten, Fluorescent presets • EV compensation ±3 stops, fine-grained • Tap-to-focus with AE/AF lock (long press) • Switch instantly between ultra-wide, wide, telephoto, and front cameras — LIVE METERING & COMPOSITION — • Real-time 12-bin histogram • Level indicator • Six grid overlays: Rule of Thirds, 4×4, Golden Ratio, Crosshair, Diagonal, Off • Aspect ratio control: 4:3, 16:9, 1:1 — ZERO STUDIO: RE-DEVELOP YOUR RAWs — Nailed the composition but blew the exposure? Open the DNG in Zero Studio and re-develop it at any exposure, ±3 stops, non-destructively. Your original RAW stays untouched. Pure single-exposure development — no AI, no fakery, no reshoot. — BUILT FOR HOW YOU SHOOT — • 48MP RAW DNG on supported iPhones • Dual output: every shot writes both a RAW DNG and a developed image • Volume buttons as a shutter trigger • Self-timer: 3, 5, 10 seconds • Silent shooting (where the law allows) • Full EXIF metadata viewer • Optional geotagging • Smart gallery: filter by RAW, by favorites, by today, by week • Siri shortcuts: "Shoot with Puro Camera" — FREE OR PRO, YOUR CHOICE — Free includes manual controls, the histogram, the level, and 15 Zero AI captures per month. About

Bloom

Features

Bloom brings focus stacking to your iPhone. Shoot close-ups of flowers, insects, jewelry or small products, and get one photo where the whole subject is sharp. WHY STACKING? At macro distance, only a thin slice of your subject is in focus. Bloom solves that the way scientific and fine-art macro photographers do: it captures several frames at different focus distances and merges the sharp parts of each into a single image. HOW IT WORKS 1. Point your iPhone at a subject at macro distance. 2. Check the focus with Focus Peaking. 3. Choose how many frames to stack. 4. Press the shutter. Bloom sweeps the focus from near to far and captures every frame, with a live CAPTURE counter. 5. Bloom merges them. BLOOMING… turns into BLOOMED: your finished photo, with the depth and number of frames used shown next to it. CHOOSE YOUR STACK: 3, 5, 7, 9 OR 11 FRAMES More frames means more depth of field. Each option comes with a short explanation, and 5 frames is marked as Recommended: a good balance of speed and depth for most subjects. Use 3 frames when you need to be quick, and 7, 9 or 11 for taller subjects or when the subject holds completely still. FOCUS PEAKING A live edge overlay shows exactly which parts of your subject are sharp before you shoot. Switch it on or off with one tap on the Focus Peaking button, and choose red, green or white highlights to suit your subject. An intensity slider lets you tune how strong the overlay appears. NEW IN THIS VERSION Compare a single frame with your stacked result using the SINGLE | STACKED slider. Choose JPEG or HEIC for the finished photo and optionally save the individual frames to a “Bloom frames” album. Macro assist on the camera screen tells you to hold steady, that the subject is moving, or that you are ready to stack; switch it on or off in Settings. BLOOM PRO 3 and 5 frames are free. 7, 9 and 11 frames unlock with Bloom Pro: a single, one-time purchase of €2.99. No subscription, yours to keep. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No cloud. Everything is processed on your iPhone, offline. Your photos are saved to your photo library and to a dedicated Bloom album. Bloom works best with a steady hand or a tripod, and with subjects that stay still while the frames are captured.

Verdict

The call

Puro and Bloom are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Puro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Bloom sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
