About

Riomaker

Turn the tiles. Let the water through. Riomaker is a game about building rivers. Every tile has to fill with water, so twist them around until the whole thing flows from the source all the way to the goal. Keep half an eye on the clock. Each stretch gives you a set amount of time, and the water will not wait for you to make up your mind. No menus. No story to keep up with. The world is the map. Clear a stretch, plant your flag at the checkpoint, and the river carries you straight into the next one. The further you go, the more the landscape around you changes. Out of time? Spend a heart and pick up from your last checkpoint. Hearts are won in the whirlpools, and when they run out, you start over from the source. Wrong turn? So did the Mississippi. WHAT YOU GET • One long journey downriver, bend after bend • Tiles to turn, water to guide, a goal to reach • Whirlpools that pull you under and change the rules for a while • Gifts to help you along the way • Rivers that get trickier the further you travel • New landscapes along the way • An island of your own that fills up as you play GOOD TO KNOW • Free to start. No account needed, just open it and play • After the first rivers, you choose: pay once and play with no ads in between rivers, or keep playing for free with an ad now and then • One purchase, yours for good. No subscriptions • Plays offline Help the river find its way down.

Got an iPhone Duo? Word Vice plays across both screens, and it knows one extra trick for when the boss walks in. It started in the car. My wife found the word in the grid that made everyone blush, and said, "The dirty words should be worth more." She was right. I built it for her first. The rest of you are welcome to it. Word Vice contains crude language by design. The vice list is rude, not cruel: slurs and hate terms are left out.
