PREMIUM — PURCHASE REQUIRED: All features described below are part of Pro and require a purchase: a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Set a daily pages goal and actually hit it. ReadGoal is a private, goal-first reading tracker built around one number: the pages you read today. Log each session, watch the ring close, and keep a streak alive that makes skipping a day feel expensive. Most book apps are shelves with a social feed attached. ReadGoal is the opposite. It cares about today's pages, your average pace, and the exact date you'll finish the book on your nightstand — not what strangers rated it. WHAT YOU GET • A daily page goal with a progress ring that closes as you log — one glance tells you whether today is done • A reading streak that counts every day you hit your goal, and survives until midnight so mornings never greet you with a zero • Your real pace: average pages per day over the last two weeks, computed from actual logs, not guesses • An estimated finish date for every unfinished book — "done by March 3" turns a 600-page doorstop into a plan • A shelf of every book you're reading, each with its own progress bar and its own daily page target • A 30-day chart with your goal line drawn across it, so a weak week is visible before it becomes a lost month PERFECT FOR • Readers who set a "30 pages a day" rule and want it enforced • Anyone juggling two or three books at once and losing the thread of all of them • Habit builders who need the streak to survive a busy Tuesday • Students and book-club readers working against a deadline WHY NOT JUST GOODREADS? Goodreads tells you what the internet thinks of a book. It doesn't know you are 40 pages behind pace, and it won't tell you which date you'll finish at your current speed. ReadGoal tracks the only number that finishes books: pages read today. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your entire log lives on your iPhone. No account, no cloud, no feed, no followers — the app works fully offline. An optional daily reminder at a time you choose is the only nudge it ever sends. PREMIUM (PURCHASE REQUIRED) ReadGoal requires Full Access, available as an auto-renewing weekly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Full Access unlocks unlimited books on the shelf, the 30-day chart with goal line, pace and finish-date estimates, and per-book daily goals. Log tonight's pages and start the streak. KRIZ

KRIZ is a reading diary, not another book catalogue. A catalogue answers “what have I read”. A diary answers “what happened to me while I was reading it”. KRIZ is about the second one. Three sections instead of lists Past, present, future. A book lives through them in turn, as it should. A diary you assemble yourself Quotes, thoughts, questions, observations, characters, things to explore after the book. Switch on only the blocks you need — the rest stays out of the way. Nothing is required: marking a book as finished is enough. Search your own words Remember the quote but not the book? A few words will find it. A book is added in a second By title, by author, or by scanning the barcode on the cover. What to read next The randomiser picks from the books you saved, from your shelf, or offers something new — from a selection of two thousand books with covers, descriptions and readers’ ratings. Cards for stories Eight ready-made looks. You tick what to show — cover, quote, rating, dates — and the app composes the card. Month summaries How much you read, what you liked most, which book turned out the longest. A fortune for the day One short line — a reason to open the diary even on a busy day. Import from Goodreads and StoryGraph Ratings, reviews, dates and shelves come across with the books. Free forever The whole diary: any number of books, entries and shelves. Search through your own words, barcode scanner, sync between devices, import, light and dark themes, story cards. What came free stays free. The KRIZ subscription adds Quote scanner: photograph a page, the text is recognised and you can fix it before saving. Voice notes. Photos for a book. Ambient sounds: rain, a library, a café. Every card template and extra appearances. The first seven days are free. Your entries are yours The diary lives on your phone and works offline. An account is only for syncing between devices — and it is optional. Backups are saved as an ordinary file. Ukrainian, Russian, English, Greek.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Reading Goal at none against KRIZ's 2. KRIZ's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
