Guest List
Read full descriptionHide full description
Your guest list on one screen: who is invited, who said yes, who brings a plus-one, and exactly how many chairs you need. GuestList is a private RSVP tracker and headcount ledger for weddings, parties and events β not an invitation sender, not a social network, and your guests never have to install anything. Most hosts run their list across a spreadsheet, a notes app and memory. GuestList replaces all three with one number that is always right: every total on screen is computed from the same ledger, so the count you send your caterer is the count at the door. WHAT YOU GET β’ A live confirmed headcount β 42 heads means 36 yes guests plus 6 plus-ones, never a guess β’ Yes, No, Maybe and Pending on every guest, one tap to change the moment a reply lands β’ Plus-ones counted separately, so βthe couple said yesβ never breaks your total β’ Day-of check-in mode: tap names at the door and watch arrived vs expected update live β’ A one-line summary ready to share with your venue or caterer β attending, maybes, still waiting β’ Real CSV import and export β bring your spreadsheet in, hand a clean file back out PERFECT FOR β’ Couples tracking a wedding guest list through months of trickling replies β’ Hosts of birthdays, showers and dinner parties who need a headcount, not another app for guests β’ Organizers running door check-in at a reception, banquet or private function β’ Anyone keeping dietary notes and seating details next to each guestβs name WHY NOT JUST A SPREADSHEET? A spreadsheet does not know that a Maybe with two plus-ones is not a confirmed head. GuestList does: maybes are shown as βup to X more if they say yesβ, never mixed into the confirmed count β and day-of check-in is one tap per name, not scroll-and-type in a cell. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your events and guests live in a local database on your iPhone. No account, no ads, no third-party analytics. Guest names, notes and RSVPs leave the device only when you choose to export or share them yourself. FULL ACCESS GuestList requires an unlock: a weekly plan, a yearly plan, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Full access covers unlimited events, unlimited guests on every list, the RSVP breakdown chart and on-device event reminders. Prices are shown in the app before you commit, and subscriptions can be cancelled anytime in Settings. Add your event and the first ten names tonight β by tomorrow you will know your real headcount. Check

Check-in Machine reads name badges and manages attendance for classes, meetings and events. Create a project and enter or import a roster, then hold a name badge in front of the front camera to match it on the device. BLUETOOTH CHECK-IN Create a room on the host. Scanners enter a join code and wait for host approval, then multiple iPhones or iPads can scan together. The host manages the roster and records; scanners send only locally recognized text and receive results. Images, videos and complete rosters are not transmitted. Bluetooth collaboration needs no internet connection or account. PROJECTS, GROUPS AND ROUNDS Keep separate projects for different classes or events. Use flat or grouped rosters and see who has or has not checked in. Create multiple rounds within a project, each with its own roster and records. MANUAL CHECK-IN AND FILES Check in attendees manually, undo check-ins and edit rosters. Import or export JSON rosters, or share a complete .checkinproject file containing attendance rounds. ON-DEVICE PROCESSING Text recognition runs on the device. Camera images are never saved or uploaded. No registration, ads, tracking or third-party analytics. Rosters and records stay on the device until you choose to export, share or delete them. Available for iPhone and iPad, with Simplified Chinese, English and Japanese interfaces. In landscape on iPad, view scanning and attendance side by side. Scanning requires camera access; collaboration requires Bluetooth access. Keep the app in the foreground on all participating devices. Collaboration pauses when disconnected and requires rejoining. A result is not successful until the host confirms saving; offline scans are not replayed. Recognition depends on text clarity, size and lighting.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Check at none against Guest List's 3. Check also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 months). Guest List's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
