Point your camera at the paints you already own, tap the color you want, and get the exact ratio to mix it. MixMaster uses real color science — CIE Lab + subtractive (Kubelka-Munk) mixing — to reverse-engineer the closest blend from YOUR paints, not a generic swatch chart. Made for miniature, tabletop, and scale-model painters who need a precise, repeatable recipe every time. ā–  Three steps 1. Register your paints (one tap from the built-in paint catalog, or read real colors with the camera) 2. Pick the target color (capture it with the camera, or tap the exact spot on a photo from your library; Pro can also enter a color via the color picker or a hex code) 3. Get the closest blend automatically. First you see the predicted result and the color difference (Ī”E). Pro reveals the exact mixing ratio and lets you fine-tune it with sliders while the predicted color and Ī”E update live ā–  Find paints by color (new in v1.6) Point at any color and see the closest real-world hobby paint from the built-in catalog, with its Ī”E — no registered paints required. When no single paint gets close enough, MixMaster shows how close a two-paint mix can get; Pro reveals the two product codes and the ratio. Keep a shopping list of the paints you still need. ā–  Made for • Miniature and tabletop figure painters matching a reference or a recipe • Answering "which paint should I buy for this color?" with numbers • Miniature painters building highlights and shadows by layering • Scale-model builders mixing a specific or in-between color • Recreating a discontinued or specified color from the paints on hand ā–  Free • Browse and search the real-product paint catalog; register up to 15 paints • Filter by paint type (lacquer / aqueous / acrylic) • Read colors from photos in your library (box art, reference shots) • See the single closest real paint to your target (with Ī”E, unlimited) • See how close a two-paint mix can get (the achieved Ī”E) • See how close your own palette can get (predicted result + Ī”E) • When your palette can't reach it, get told what color to add • Shopping list and per-paint stock tracking • White-reference (white balance) correction to reduce lighting color casts ā–  Pro (one-time purchase — no further charges) • Top 5 two-paint mixes from real products — with product codes and ratios • Full list of the closest real paints (up to 5) • See the exact mixing ratio to your target color • Layering ladder — auto-generate highlight & shadow mixes from a base color, using the paints you own • Drop-by-drop guide — turn any ratio into an exact drop count and order • Save, share, and fine-tune recipes with sliders • Share recipes as an image card ready for social posts • Register unlimited paints — the more you own, the wider the range you can mix • Set the target color directly (color picker or hex, not just the camera) • Advanced mode that factors in hiding power (opacity) ā–  About the built-in catalog The catalog lists product names, codes, and reference color data for hobby paints sold by GSI Creos (Mr. Color / Aqueous Hobby Color), Tamiya, and Gaia Notes (popular colors first, expanding over time). MixMaster is not affiliated with or endorsed by any paint manufacturer. Product names and codes are used only to identify the corresponding colors and are trademarks of their respective owners. Color values are our own reference approximations and may differ from the actual paint. Colors depend on lighting and film conditions, so treat predictions as guidance.
