KMZ Previewer vs FlightDial

Bring your KMZ files to life on a beautiful 3D map. KMZ Previewer turns the .kmz files you've collected from Google Earth, hiking apps, photo planners, and trail websites into a fully interactive experience on your iPhone. Pinch to zoom in on a mountain pass, tilt for a realistic 3D view, and switch between four gorgeous map styles in a single tap. Whether you're previewing your next hike, planning a photo trip, or just revisiting where you've been — KMZ Previewer keeps everything one tap away. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Open any KMZ file — straight from Files, iCloud, Mail, or the share sheet. Placemarks, paths, and polygons all render automatically. • Pick your map style — Standard, Terrain, Hybrid, or Satellite. Every style supports realistic 3D elevation so mountains look like mountains. • Search any place — find restaurants, landmarks, addresses, or trailheads. Tap a result to see the straight-line distance to the nearest point in your KMZ and to your current location. • Drop your own pins — tap the map to drop a pin at exact GPS coordinates, or type latitude and longitude manually. Name each one, edit it later, and drag-to-reposition with a long-press. • See it all at once — KMZ features in orange, your custom pins in green, search results in blue, and your location in the classic blue dot. • Share your work — send the loaded KMZ via AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or save it back to Files. • Your places persist — the last opened KMZ and every custom pin you create are saved across app launches automatically. BUILT FOR iPHONE KMZ Previewer is a native SwiftUI app built on Apple MapKit. It's lightweight, has no ads, no tracking, no accounts, and works fully offline once a map area has been viewed. PERFECT FOR • Hikers previewing routes shared by friends or downloaded from trail websites • Photographers planning trips around saved photo spots • Travelers reviewing custom Google Earth itineraries on the go • Anyone who needs a quick, no-friction way to look at a .kmz on iPhone PRIVACY KMZ Previewer keeps everything on your device. Your location is only used to show your position on the map and to compute distances — it's never sent anywhere. No analytics, no third-party SDKs, no accounts. Open a KMZ. See your trip. Plan the next one.

FlightDial turns your wrist into a radar screen. Real aircraft, live from community ADS-B data, drawn on an analog dial at their true bearing and distance from you. The dial turns with your compass, so a plane at 10 o’clock on screen is at 10 o’clock in the sky. One crossing the centre is about to pass overhead, and FlightDial taps you when it will. • Live traffic on a clean analog dial, over a terrain map • Turn the Digital Crown to zoom from 2 to 50 km • Tap a plane for its registration, type, altitude, speed, distance and bearing • A complication showing how many aircraft are near you • A haptic when something is about to pass overhead • Watch Heathrow’s traffic any time, free FlightDial World unlocks any sky on earth: search a city or airport and keep it as its own dial. Live traffic: ADSB.lol community data (ODbL).
