Translator transcribes speech on device, creates timed caption drafts, and translates caption text where Apple Translation supports the selected language pair. You can review and edit translated captions before burn-in, then save a new video to Photos without changing the original. Translator does not overwrite your original video. It saves the finished result as a new video in Photos.
