Stroop Challenge is a precision cognitive training tool based on the Stroop Effect ā one of the most replicated findings in experimental psychology ā measuring interference between word reading and color recognition. THE SCIENCE: The Stroop Effect demonstrates that automatic processing (word reading) can interfere with controlled processing (color identification). Regular exposure to Stroop-type stimuli has been associated with improved selective attention, cognitive flexibility, and processing speed. TWO VALIDATED MODES: ⢠Classic (Color-Naming) ā Identify the ink color of the presented word. Suppresses automatic reading response. ⢠Word Match (Word-Reading) ā Identify the color named by the word. Tests semantic processing independence. METRICS TRACKED: ⢠Score per round (accuracy Ć speed composite) ⢠Best accuracy rate (percentage of correct responses) ⢠Fastest average reaction time (milliseconds per response) ⢠Session totals: rounds played, correct and incorrect responses ⢠Combo chains: consecutive correct responses DIFFICULTY SCALING: ⢠Easy: 4 color stimuli (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow) ⢠Medium: 5 color stimuli (adds Purple) ⢠Hard: 6 color stimuli (adds Orange) DATA PRIVACY: All data is stored locally via UserDefaults. No network requests are made. No personal information is collected, transmitted, or shared. The app functions completely offline. Ideal for daily cognitive warm-up, focus training, or simply exploring one of psychology's most fascinating phenomena.
Quick! Reaction Speed Test

Quick! measures your reaction time down to the millisecond. Wait on the ready screen ā the cue appears at a random moment, and you react as fast as you can. Six modes combine three senses with two actions: ⢠Visual: the instant the screen changes colour ⢠Audio: the instant the tone sounds ⢠Haptic: the instant the phone vibrates Ć Tap the screen, or flick the phone (quick-draw style) Five trials per round give you your average, best and worst, plus a performance grade. Jumping the gun ā reacting before the cue ā doesn't count and re-runs, so every number is real. Why trust the numbers? Quick! times everything on the system's high-precision monotonic clock, subtracting the stimulus's true onset from your response's hardware timestamp ā eliminating the tens of milliseconds of lag most apps carry. You can even measure real effects like "audio is faster than visual." ā Six modes: visual / audio / haptic Ć tap / shake ā Millisecond-precise timing ā Full history with trend charts to track your progress ā Traditional Chinese, English and Japanese ā Sleek dark, e-sports-style interface Push your limits and see how fast you really are.
