Remote Pi turns your iPhone into the control surface for the AI coding agents running on every machine you work from. Pair your phone once by scanning a QR code on your Mac. From then on your devices form a mesh: the agents on your machines talk to each other, and your phone is the trusted key that authorizes new peers and lets you step in from anywhere. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Scan a QR code to pair with a machine in seconds • See every active agent session across all your paired machines in one list • Follow the conversation live as your agent streams its work • Approve or reject tool calls with a tap — you stay in control of what runs • Move between machines without losing context YOUR PHONE IS JUST THE AUTHENTICATOR You don't run the heavy work on your phone. The agents live on your computers; your phone holds the cryptographic identity that vouches for new devices and gives you a window into what's happening. Pairing uses Ed25519 device keys over TLS. WORKS WITH THE HARNESS YOU USE Remote Pi rides alongside the coding-agent setup you already run on your machines instead of replacing it. OPEN SOURCE & SELF-HOSTABLE Remote Pi is open source. Start with the public relay, or point the app at your own self-hosted relay so the connection between your devices runs on infrastructure you control. Built for developers who want their agents within reach — on the couch, on the move, or away from the desk.

About

Pi

Features

pi is a coding agent that runs on your iPhone and iPad. Ask it for something and it gets to work: it writes and runs code in a real shell and Python, uses git, browses the web, and builds apps for you, right on the device. WHAT IT DOES • Runs commands in a POSIX shell with curl, git and the usual Unix tools • Writes and runs Python, and installs pure-Python packages with pip • Clones repositories, edits files, and commits and pushes with your GitHub account • Browses the web in its own browser, and fills in forms for you • Builds apps: extensions with their own pages, kept in the session's dock • Charts data, reads the photos and files you attach, and takes dictation • Keeps working in the background, and picks up where it left off YOUR MODELS Use the AI provider you already have (sign in, or add an API key), or connect pi to any OpenAI-compatible server, such as Ollama on your Mac. Small models can run entirely on the device. EXTENSIONS AND SKILLS pi uses the pi coding agent's extensions and skills. Install them from GitHub, npm or a file, or ask the agent to write one. You can read and change every extension's code in Settings, and pi asks before any extension uses the camera, the microphone or your location. PRIVATE BY DESIGN pi has no account and collects nothing. Your sessions stay on your device, and your sign-ins and settings can follow you through your iCloud Keychain. What a session sends goes only to the model provider and the sites you choose. Card and document numbers wait in a vault behind Face ID. ALSO MCP servers, Shortcuts ("Ask pi"), sessions you can share as a file, and remote Linux machines through Crabbox. pi needs an account with an AI provider, your own model server, or a model downloaded to the device.
