TigerText is the easiest way to add alt text to photos on iPhone — and it's now completely free. Point it at any photo and TigerText writes a clear, accurate description of what's in it. The description is saved into the photo's own metadata, so it travels with the image when you post or send it. Mastodon, Bluesky, and any other app that reads standard image metadata will pick it up automatically. Everything happens on your iPhone. No internet connection. No account. No ads. No tracking. WHY ALT TEXT MATTERS Alt text is how a photo becomes readable to someone using a screen reader. Without it, an image is just "photo" — no content, no context. Writing it by hand for every picture is real work, and that's why so many images go undescribed. TigerText does the first draft in seconds so you can post with a description instead of without one. FULLY OFFLINE, GENUINELY PRIVATE TigerText runs a vision-language AI model that ships inside the app. Your photos are never uploaded, never sent to a server, and never seen by anyone but you. It works on a plane, in a basement, or with your phone in airplane mode — because there's nothing to connect to. Privacy here isn't a policy promise. It's how the app is built. There is no server to trust, because there is no server. BUILT WITH THE COMMUNITY IT SERVES TigerText was shaped by feedback from blind and low-vision users, and it's designed to be used entirely with VoiceOver — not merely to pass an accessibility checklist. Every control is labeled, every action is announced, and the whole flow works without ever needing to see the screen. That includes the parts people usually forget: you can hear the description read aloud before you save it, edit any wording you disagree with, and know immediately whether a photo already has alt text. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Describe any photo in your library, one at a time or in batches • Hear any description read aloud before you commit to it • Edit the wording — it's your description, the AI just drafts it • See at a glance which photos already have alt text and which don't • Add descriptions to animated GIFs without losing the animation • Send photos straight from the Photos share sheet • Share a photo with the description already embedded FREE, AND STAYING THAT WAY Every feature is free forever. There is no paid tier, no subscription, no in-app purchase, no locked content, and no ads. TigerText uses the Qwen2-VL model (Apache 2.0) running through Apple's MLX framework. The bundled model is verified with a SHA-256 integrity check on every new version, so you always run the genuine, untampered model. A NOTE ON THE DOWNLOAD SIZE TigerText is a big download, and that is the whole point. The entire AI model lives inside the app instead of on a server somewhere. Nothing is streamed, nothing is fetched, and none of the work happens on someone else's computer. Download it once and it works forever. On a plane. In a tunnel. In a basement with no signal. On a trip with no data plan. There is no server to go down, no API to get shut off, no subscription to lapse, and no spinner while something uploads. Your photos are never part of anybody's dataset, because they never leave your phone. Most apps that describe images send your pictures away to do it. TigerText carries the whole thing with you instead. That's what makes TigerText a true offline utility: the big download is the feature. Install it once over Wi-Fi, and describing a photo never needs a network again.

About

SignalSeek

Features

SignalSeek is a Wi-Fi signal quality and coverage survey app: it maps your home as you walk through it, measures how your network actually performs in every room, and shows where coverage falls off. No floor plan to draw. No measurements to type in. Walk through once and you get a coverage heatmap over your real floor plan, plus a full PDF report you can act on. Please check your device: the floor plan needs LiDAR (iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro models, iPad Pro 2020 and later). Without it the app maps with the camera alone: some plan detail is missing and floors are aligned by hand. Wi-Fi measurements are unaffected. Works with any router or mesh system — nothing to install on your network. HOW IT WORKS 1. Scan as you walk. Walk each room with the phone held up; the floor plan builds itself while network quality is measured at every step. 2. Mark your gear. Tap when you pass a modem, primary router, mesh node, wired AP or range extender. Coverage and backhaul are analyzed per device. 3. Read the map. 2D and 3D heatmaps show where coverage drops; the report tells you what to change. WHAT YOU GET • A coverage heatmap over your real floor plan, room by room • Multi-floor projects with a whole-home 3D view • Router and roaming analysis: which access point serves which area, mesh backhaul quality, hand-off between nodes • Tap to inspect: any spot on the map shows its score, its room, the device covering it and the walls between • What-if simulation: drag a router or add a node to preview coverage before you buy or move anything • A full PDF report: coverage, speed, latency / jitter / packet loss, bufferbloat, app readiness (video calls, streaming, gaming), per-room detail and prioritized recommendations • AI analysis export: structured data with definitions built in, ready for your favorite AI assistant • History: every scan is kept in full, with a better/worse change map right on the heatmap to prove an improvement • PDF reports in color or a black-and-white print edition, metric or imperial • Never color alone: the map outlines each grade, hatches weak areas and gives every router its own pattern FREE Scanning, heatmaps, the whole-home 3D view and all on-screen results are free for up to 3 projects. No time limit, no ads. PERSONAL (optional one-time purchase) Pay once, keep it forever. Unlocks PDF and AI analysis export, history comparison with change maps, placement simulation, unlimited projects and iCloud sync across your own devices. Not a subscription; never charged again. TEAM (optional annual subscription) A shared project library for installers and IT crews: anyone can open and continue a project someone else scanned, with members and permissions managed by the owner. Hosted on your own WebDAV server, NAS, or an iCloud shared folder — we run no server of our own. Adds white-label PDF reports with your company name and logo, batch export, project templates and shared naming vocabularies. PRIVACY Your scans stay on your device. No account to create, no analytics. Floor plans, measurement points and reports leave the device only if you turn on iCloud sync yourself, or point the app at your own WebDAV server or NAS — and then only there. TEAM PLAN — AUTO-RENEWING SUBSCRIPTION Before you subscribe, please note: • The price of Team (Annual) may vary by country or region. • Payment is charged to your Apple Account once you confirm the purchase. • The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. • After purchase you can manage or cancel the subscription in Settings, under your Apple Account > Subscriptions.
