Prayer Explorer vs Confessio

Prayer Explorer is a quiet, free companion for Catholic prayer and study. It brings together the day's liturgical calendar, traditional prayers, the Holy Rosary with voice-guided Pray Along, and a public-domain Bible reader. EVERYTHING IS FREE. Every prayer, every mystery, every reading, every feature. No accounts, no ads, no subscription, no tracking. WHAT'S INSIDE • A library of traditional Catholic prayers. Search and favorite. • Praylists: build your own prayer sequences, like three Hail Marys for a personal intention or a custom Stations set. • The Holy Rosary with all four mystery sets. Pray Along mode listens to your voice and gently follows you line by line, so you can pray with your eyes on the page or with them closed. • The Divine Mercy Chaplet, the Angelus, the Memorare, and dozens more. • Today's liturgical day: season, color, rank, feasts, and Holy Days of Obligation. • Daily Mass reading references with a one-tap link to the official USCCB text. • A full liturgical calendar by month, with feasts and color dots. • A Bible reader with public-domain translations (WEB, KJV, Douay-Rheims), text-to-speech, voice picker, line-by-line highlighting, verse favorites, and personal notes. • Reading plans you can track over time. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Favorites, notes, Praylists, and progress all stay on your device. Pray Along processes your voice on the device. Nothing is uploaded. No analytics. No third-party scripts. The Privacy Policy at prayerexplorer.com/privacy lays it out in plain English. PROUD TO PRAY If the app has helped you pray, you can send a small thanksgiving from inside the app. It is entirely optional. Nothing is gated behind it. A Catholic translation note: the in-app Bible uses public-domain translations for study and prayer. The official Lectionary text for Mass is not reproduced. Tap "Open Official Readings" to read it on the USCCB site.

Confessio is your companion for a deeper prayer life and a well-prepared confession — with absolute privacy. Everything you record stays encrypted on your iPhone and protected by Face ID. Your confessions are sacred, and the app was designed around that. EXAMINATION OF CONSCIENCE Record and organize your examination of conscience with discretion. Clear categories help you prepare for confession calmly and deeply. PRAYERS A library of dozens of traditional Catholic prayers, to read in silence or hear aloud, with the text following the voice. Search, favorites, and tracking of your prayer days. ROSARY WITH AUDIO Pray the Rosary guided by audio, with all 20 mysteries (Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious), alternating voices, and a sacred musical background. Adjust the speed and language. PRAYER PLANS Build your own sequence of prayers, heard aloud or read in silence. The app moves from one to the next, and a reminder calls you at the hour you choose. APPLE TV Pray the rosary in your living room, with a 4K painting for each mystery in five styles (Masters, Stained glass, Icon, Fresco and Watercolor), made with artificial intelligence and reviewed one by one. The Gospel and the saints of the day read aloud, the prayers, the guided devotions and the liturgical seasons. On the TV, only prayer: no sins and no examination of conscience. IPHONE AND APPLE TV IN STEP A rosary prayed on the TV counts toward your streak and the season's day on your iPhone, and the other way round. Only the prayer log travels, through your private iCloud, encrypted field by field. CARPLAY Pray on the road with your iPhone in your pocket: the Gospel and the saints of the day read aloud, the rosary, the guided devotions, and your prayer plans. On the car screen, only prayer. WIDGETS The Gospel and the saint of the day, the liturgical season, and your prayer streak, on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. GOSPEL AND SAINTS OF THE DAY Each day's Gospel and the saints celebrated, to read or to hear in Confessio's voice, on iPhone, in the car and on the TV. The Gospel on Apple Watch too. LITURGICAL SEASONS Advent, Lent, the Month of Mary and the 40 days with Saint Michael the Archangel, one day at a time. When you complete one, a keepsake to save and the blessings you received, written by you and encrypted. INTERIOR HEALTH AND APPLE WATCH The app follows your heart rate variability and, in moments of stress, gently suggests a prayer suited to your state. Prayers you complete become Mindful Minutes in the Health app. PRIVACY FIRST • Everything encrypted on device (AES-256) • Unlock with Face ID / Touch ID • Works offline — you never lose your records • Optional, private sync between iPhone and Apple Watch • Between iPhone and Apple TV only the prayer log travels: through the private database of your iCloud, which we have no access to, with every field encrypted on the device before it leaves. With Advanced Data Protection on, not even Apple can read it • In the car and on the TV, sins, the examination of conscience, and health data never appear on screen Confessio exists to help you prepare for confession with dignity, silence, and respect for your spiritual journey.
