Chess Best Next Move turns a screenshot of a chess position into a move suggestion, with analysis on your device. It is a study tool: review a game you have finished, work through a puzzle, or examine a position you set up yourself. Stealth Mode is on by default. Suggestions vary and may be weaker. Turn it off for Stockfish’s strongest choice. Analysis defaults to 1 second. HOW IT WORKS Import a screenshot from Photos, the share sheet, paste, drag and drop, or a Shortcut. With Full Access to Photos, opening the app recognizes a fresh chess screenshot automatically. Check any uncertain squares before analysis. Unlimited users get automatic analysis; others tap Analyze. Choose 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 10 or 30 seconds of think time. See the move in words or chess notation and as a board arrow, with the evaluation and engine line. APPLE WATCH Open the paired Watch app for automatic analysis, or turn off Analyze on Open in iPhone Settings > Apple Watch and tap Analyze. It uses your chosen think time, up to 3 seconds. Saved results are reused. Requires Full Access to Photos and locally available screenshots. Existing Pro access and credits apply. Tap the board to replay the move. HISTORY AND MOVES Positions and results stay on this device, without original screenshots. Reopen a result without another analysis. Delete entries or clear History. ON YOUR DEVICE The recognition model and Stockfish 19 run on your iPhone or iPad. Your picture is never uploaded, nothing is sent to a server, and the app needs no network connection and no account. Nothing is tracked and there is no advertising. Running the same position again at a longer think time costs nothing. ALSO INCLUDED A position editor, board styles, Siri, Control Center, Action button and Back Tap shortcuts, Home and Lock Screen widgets, VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Increase Contrast and Reduce Motion. Light and dark appearance. Ten app localizations. FAIR PLAY Please respect fair-play rules: most chess sites do not allow engine help in games you are playing. ANALYSES AND PRICES The first three analyses are free. After that, choose: - Pro Weekly, 2.99 US dollars per week: unlimited analyses. - Pro Yearly, 24.99 US dollars per year: unlimited analyses. - Pro Lifetime, 49.99 US dollars once: unlimited analyses, not a subscription. The October launch offer has ended for new users. Customers who already received free unlimited access keep it. Pro Weekly and Pro Yearly are auto-renewable subscriptions to Chess Best Next Move Pro, which gives unlimited analyses for as long as it is active. Pro Weekly costs 2.99 US dollars for each one-week period. Pro Yearly costs 24.99 US dollars for each one-year period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase and never renews. The prices above are the United States prices; every other region follows Apple's own price conversion.
