Whether you're organizing a massive "Second Brain" or simply jotting down grocery lists, ThreadMark makes reading long documents on mobile incredibly fast, casual, and stress-free. โ–  What is ThreadMark? ThreadMark is a unique Markdown viewer and editor that parses your local files into a message board/forum structure. Simply select your local folder (Vault), and the app automatically treats your folders as "Boards", your .md files as "Threads", and paragraphs divided by headings as numbered "Posts". โ–  Who is this for? - Heavy Markdown users looking for a lightweight, mobile-friendly way to browse their vast knowledge base. - Users of desktop-based PKM (Personal Knowledge Management) tools who want a seamless, local mobile companion. - Anyone who loves the scrollable, bite-sized reading experience of timelines and forum threads. - Privacy advocates who prefer 100% offline, local storage without cloud lock-in. โ–  Key Features - Innovative Thread-Style UI Documents are automatically split based on headings (e.g., ##) and displayed as numbered posts. Even a 10,000-word document becomes as easy to digest as scrolling through a social media feed. - Rich Markdown Compatibility Fully supports WikiLinks ([[Note Name]]) for bidirectional linking. Tap a dead link to instantly create a new thread. It also beautifully renders inline images, transclusions (embedding other .md files), and callouts (e.g., > [!info]). - Powerful "Quote Anchors" Navigate complex thoughts instantly. Type >>1, >>1-5, or >>1,3 to create interactive anchors. Tapping them opens a quick pop-up preview of the referenced sections without losing your scroll position. - 100% Local & Secure No accounts, no logins, and no forced cloud syncing. All data remains safely on your device's local storage, ensuring your private diaries and sensitive technical notes stay truly private. โ–  Rich Customization - Dual Viewing Modes Switch seamlessly between the immersive "BBS Mode" (Board/Thread/Post layout) and the traditional "Standard Mode" (Folder/Note layout) depending on your mood. - Beautiful Themes & Typography Choose from a variety of carefully crafted themes, including a classic Retro Beige, pure Dark Mode, Dracula, and Cyberpunk. Includes a precise font scaler to build your perfect reading environment. * Note: ThreadMark is free to use with optional ads. We offer a one-time lifetime purchase to remove ads completely, or you can temporarily hide ads for 6 hours by watching a short video. * Note: This app is a local file viewer/editor. It does not connect to or browse external internet forum services.

About

MarkWrite

Features

WYSIWYG Markdown editor that allows embedding pictures and natural language mathematics. MarkWrite is a fast, focused Markdown editor for Mac, iPad and iPhone. Your writing formats itself as you type โ€” headings, bold, lists, quotes, tables and code appear the moment you write them, while the Markdown syntax stays visible only on the line you are editing. Nothing to toggle, no split screen required. EMBED IMAGES, NOT LINKS Drag a picture into your document and it is really there. Grab its corner to resize it and MarkWrite writes the new size back into the Markdown for you. Text and images are saved together in one self-contained document you can move, rename, duplicate or send without leaving a single broken link behind. Images can be embedded in any of the common formats: VS Code, Pandoc or HTML. WRITE EQUATIONS BY DESCRIBING THEM Say what you mean: "x equals minus b, plus or minus the square root of b squared minus four a c, all over two a." MarkWrite turns that sentence into a properly typeset formula. There is no LaTeX to memorise โ€” though you can type LaTeX directly whenever you would rather. Powered by on-device Apple Intelligence; requires a supported device. ALSO โ€ข Tables that line up in the editor, not only in the preview โ€ข Live preview that follows your cursor, side by side or full width โ€ข Themes: fonts, colours, spacing, line height, list spacing โ€” saved as presets โ€ข Callouts, footnotes, highlights, code blocks and inline code โ€ข Export to PDF or print, with your theme applied โ€ข Open a whole folder in tabs and work across files โ€ข Find and replace, including regular expressions STILL JUST MARKDOWN MarkWrite writes ordinary .md files. Nothing is trapped in a proprietary format, nothing is locked in a cloud, and nothing you have written is ever held behind a subscription. Open your work in any other editor, any time, or share it with anyone and they will be able to open it with any Markdown viewer, including the embedded images.
