Bring your own class music. Accompanist helps dancers and teachers slow a passage, repeat the hard part, and return to full speed. The live player is free; Pro lets you save and replay each dancer's speed and volume routine. START WITH ONE SONG Import playable audio files from Files, or add a folder of class music. Choose a song, adjust its speed, and practise at your own pace. No file ready? Try the built-in demo first. Spotify and Apple Music subscription streams are not supported. PRACTISE THE PART THAT NEEDS WORK • Slow down or speed up with the slider, presets, +/− buttons, or an exact typed value. • Use pitch lock to change tempo while keeping the original key, or turn it off for a record-speed effect. • Set A and B to repeat one passage. The Speed Trainer can raise the tempo on successive loops. • Tap the beat to set BPM. Turn on ‘Count me in’ when you want a count-in; it is off by default. The metronome is optional too. • Add section markers to return to moments you practise often. KEEP CLASS MOVING Adjust the song's volume separately from your phone's volume. Fade down to speak over the music, then fade back up. Organize songs into folders, keep playing in the background, or control playback from your Apple Watch. SAVE A ROUTINE FOR EACH DANCER — PRO Tap Record to capture your speed and volume adjustments as the song plays, then use Stop & Save to name the routine for a dancer. This records control changes, not microphone audio or video. Replay the saved routine on the next run-through, or edit its points in the profile editor. Pro also includes: • Saved speed and volume charts. • Exporting an adjusted song as an audio file. • Sharing saved profiles with another Accompanist user who has the same song. • iCloud library sync, with music sync selected per folder. • Playing the audio from video files. FREE TO START Importing audio, live speed and volume controls, pitch lock, loops, rhythm tools, fades, and background playback are free. Saving and replaying named routines requires Pro. Bring audio files you can access in Files. Spotify and Apple Music subscription streams are not supported. A music catalogue is not included. ADVERTISING Ads are temporarily disabled in this version.
