Flarewell checks skincare before it touches your face. Photograph the ingredients list on the back of a product, or paste it from a shop's website. In a few seconds you see whether it suits rosacea and redness-prone skin: which ingredients are best avoided, which to use with care, which tend to help, and what to do next. It reads the standard INCI names printed on packaging, so it works on products from most countries, including ones no barcode database has heard of. WHAT THE SCANNER FLAGS Ingredients that widen blood vessels, such as denatured alcohol, menthol and camphor. Fragrance and the fragrance allergens EU law requires on labels. Essential oils, harsh detergents, irritating preservatives, strong acids and scrubs. It tells you when a sunscreen uses only mineral filters, the kind least likely to sting, and when a worrying-sounding ingredient like cetyl alcohol is actually fine. YOUR PRODUCTS, YOUR REACTIONS Every scan is saved. Mark each product as fine or irritating, and Flarewell shows which ingredients your irritating products have in common, then warns you when a new product contains one of them. Compare two products side by side, or share a result. CONNECTED TO YOUR SKIN LOG Rate your redness in about 20 seconds and tick the products you used. Flarewell shows whether your skin tends to be redder on days you use products with a particular ingredient, and how your skin has changed from one fortnight to the next. These are patterns in your own records, not proof of cause. When a flare starts, Flare SOS shows what went on your skin that day. TOMORROW'S WEATHER, MATCHED TO YOUR TRIGGERS UV, heat and humidity are among the most commonly reported rosacea triggers. Flarewell shows tomorrow's conditions next to the triggers you told it about, so you can plan sun protection ahead. TREATMENTS AND YOUR DERMATOLOGIST Track how often you use a prescribed cream or tablet, see how long each typically takes before its effect is clear, and export a PDF report with your products and patterns to bring to your appointment. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your logs, photos, scans and products stay on your iPhone. There is no account and no sign in. Label photos are read on the device and never uploaded. Flarewell can read your sleep hours from Apple Health if you allow it, and never writes to Health. Weather comes from Apple Weather using your approximate location. FREE AND PREMIUM Free: 3 ingredient scans, your saved products and reactions, unlimited daily logging, the weather view, your starting trigger profile, the two week trend summary and treatment tracking. Premium: unlimited scans, the ingredients your irritating products share, ingredient and trigger insights from your own log, unlimited history and the PDF report. Monthly or yearly. The yearly plan includes a 7 day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. Flarewell is a personal tracking tool.
