Pip
Read full descriptionHide full description
Pip is an adaptive learning app for children aged 7 to 11 preparing for the 11+ and KS2 SATs. Every answer shapes the next question, so your child works at their real level, not their school year. Interactive Pip Teaches lessons show why each method works, and weekly boss battles, a garden to grow and Pip to look after bring children back each day. ADAPTIVE FROM THE FIRST QUESTION A short placement quest finds your child's starting point. Right answers bring harder questions. After several misses in a row, Pip eases off and can offer a lesson or an easier building block, then brings them back to the skill. Rushed answers get a reminder to slow down. PIP SCORE AND MASTERY Every skill has a Pip Score from 0 to 100. A skill is mastered at 90, and only after a run of right answers. Mastered skills come back for review checks after 1, 3, 7 and 21 days, then at longer gaps. Pip Score shows progress in Pip, not a predicted exam result. TEACHING, NOT JUST TESTING More than 100 Pip Teaches lessons are interactive whiteboards: children drag, build and type their way through a method before practising it. After a wrong answer, Ask Pip walks through the steps and explains what went wrong. Numbers stand out in questions and hints, so children with dyscalculia or ADHD can find them at a glance. 11+ AND KS2 SATs Choose 11+, KS2 SATs or both for each child. 11+ covers Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. KS2 SATs covers maths, reading (fiction, non-fiction and poetry) and grammar, punctuation and spelling, with its own SATs boss battles. MOCK PAPERS AND A PLAN Timed 11+ papers in all four subjects, with every answer to review and results by topic and answer speed. Tell Pip the test, the exam date and what your child needs most help with, and Pip builds an eight-week plan that updates every week from real progress. WHAT CHILDREN PRACTISE Maths: place value, arithmetic, long division, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratio, measures, time, area, angles, charts, money and word problems. English: comprehension, spelling, homophones, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary. Verbal Reasoning: synonyms, opposites, compound and hidden words, codes, analogies and logic. Non-Verbal Reasoning: matrices, sequences, rotation, reflection, shape codes, cube nets and hidden figures. GAMES THAT GO WITH THE LEARNING Learning Grove: every skill grows its own tree, and mastery brings fruit to harvest and sell for coins. Pip's Den: feed Pip and dress him up. His Brain meter grows from real practice. Pip's Arcade: number and word games that open once the day's practice is done. Number Dojo: times tables, squares and roots across worlds and belts. Word Quest: more than 900 vocabulary words with meanings, examples and word games. Pip's Shop: money skills on a till, menus and price lists. Writing Studio: daily writing sparks, craft lessons and a Writing Book. DAILY GOAL Choose 15, 25, 40 or 60 questions a day, or your own number, and change it any time in the grown-ups area. FOR FAMILIES Weekly reports show questions, accuracy, time, strengths and gaps. An optional parent account backs up each child's progress across your devices, with a parent dashboard at pip11plus.com. No ads, no advertising trackers, and no account or email needed for children. Purchases and settings sit behind a grown-ups check. Without a parent account, learning stays on the device. SUBSCRIPTION Pip Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase, or when the trial ends, and renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Support: support@pip11plus.com Pip is independent and not affiliated with GL Assessment, CEM, CGP, Bond or any exam board.
