Pull up a stool at the Clockmaker's Bench. This is a calm, hands-on idle game about the slow craft of horology โ€” winding escapements, seating gears into half-built pocket watches, and listening to a whole shelf of finished mechanisms tick away. Start with a bare bench. Tap to wind the mainspring; each turn seats another gear into the movement on your workbench. Finish a watch and place it on the ticking shelf, where it runs on its own and earns coin tick after tick โ€” even while the app is closed. As coin flows in, master finer movements. Unlock the moonphase, then the chronograph, the gravity-defying tourbillon, and finally the perpetual calendar โ€” each grade more intricate, more valuable, and more beautiful on the shelf than the last. Patrons come calling, too. Accept a commission and one of your finished watches auto-ships to its owner overnight, paying coin plus patina โ€” a prestige currency you spend on permanent polish that lifts your whole workshop. What you'll do: - Tap to wind and watch gears click into place - Fill a ticking shelf that earns coin passively, even offline - Unlock five complication grades, from time-only to perpetual calendar - Fulfil patron commissions for coin and patina - Upgrade your winding power, automatic winder, shelf, and commission slots - Polish your workshop with patina for a permanent yield bonus Clockmaker's Bench is free to play and supported by occasional ads. You can watch an optional short video for a 30-minute taste of doubled yield, or unlock Master Horologist once to remove ads, double all coin and patina forever, and add two extra commission slots. No subscription โ€” a single purchase, restorable on any device. No timers nagging you, no fail states, no rush. Just the quiet satisfaction of a well-built mechanism and a shelf that keeps on ticking. Pull up a stool and start winding.

About

Afterkind

Features

Afterkind is a full offline 4X strategy game โ€” build a civilization on a hex map with no wifi and no account. Ten thousand years after humanity vanished, new civilizations have risen from the creatures we left behind. You lead one. Found cities with settlers. Improve the land with workers. Raise armies that advance era by era โ€” warriors to swordsmen to musketeers to riflemen โ€” and win by Domination, Science, Culture, or Time. It's the classic turn-based empire-builder loop, shaped for your phone and finishable in a few sessions. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT โ€ข Ten playable Kinds, each a full civilization with its own units โ€” beavers, crows, machines, octopuses, bees, moths, otters, fungus, and two visitors from elsewhere: lizardfolk and the Greys. โ€ข A 2.5D isometric diorama board โ€” extruded hex tiles, lit and shadowed like a carved tabletop. โ€ข Six difficulty levels, from a gentle first empire to a relentless AI. โ€ข Four victory routes, each a different way to play. โ€ข A career page that remembers every campaign โ€” your record, your signature victory, your nemesis, your rank. PLAY OFFLINE, FOREVER No account, no login, no internet required. Your saves live on your device. Every map is a seed you can share โ€” "play my exact map" โ€” and every finished game gives you a score card to post. FREE, WITH OPTIONAL EXTRAS The complete game is free: all four victory types, every era, and three Kinds (Damwright Guilds, Corvid Court, Lantern Order). If you want more, unlock Kind Packs once and keep them forever, or subscribe to Afterkind Online for every Kind plus weekly ranked leaderboards, hosted Chronicles, and cloud backup. We never sell power โ€” paid Kinds are balanced sidegrades. AFTERKIND ONLINE (optional subscription) โ€ข 7-day free trial, then auto-renews until cancelled. โ€ข Monthly or annual; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings. โ€ข Unlocks all Kind Packs while active, plus online rank and leaderboards.
