All Sensors
Read full descriptionHide full description
All Sensors is a focused utility for seeing โ really seeing โ what every sensor on your iPhone or iPad reports, in real time. Twenty-one sensors, one clean dashboard: โข Motion: accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, device motion (fused IMU), pedometer, altimeter, motion activity classifier โข Location: GPS coordinates, speed, altitude, heading (true & magnetic), barometric pressure โข System: battery level & charging state, thermal state, CPU cores & load, memory pressure, storage usage, screen brightness โข Connectivity: Wi-Fi network type, cellular carrier & radio technology, Bluetooth state and discovered peripherals โข Hardware: camera capabilities, lens enumeration, microphone audio levels, ambient light estimate, proximity, torch level Each sensor has its own detail screen with three-axis charts, gauges, raw value readouts, and a live magnitude calculation. Tap into any sensor to see what's actually being read by the underlying iOS APIs (CMMotionManager, CLLocationManager, CMAltimeter, CMPedometer, CMMotionActivityManager, CBCentralManager, NWPathMonitor, AVCaptureDevice, ProcessInfo, UIDevice, HKHealthStore). โผ Show-Off Mode Tap the Show-Off banner on any sensor detail screen and the device transforms. The sensor takes over the full screen with a theatrical visualization โ flight HUDs, compass roses, gravity wells, oscilloscopes, gauges, lighthouses. There are 74 unique full-bleed visualizations across 21 sensors. Swipe horizontally to switch sensors, swipe vertically to cycle variants, tap the grid icon to jump to any of them. It's a great way to demo what your phone is doing right now to a friend, a class, or yourself. โผ Logger A real recorder. Pick any subset of sensors, set a sample rate (60 Hz down to 1 Hz, per sensor), tap record, walk around. When you stop, your session shows up in a browser with timeline, sensor-by-sensor breakdown, and one-tap export to CSV or JSON for analysis in Numbers, Excel, Python, R, or whatever you use. Logs are stored in a local SQLite database under your app's Documents folder; nothing is uploaded. โผ HealthKit The Health tab shows HealthKit metrics such as heart rate, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, steps, energy, distance, body measurements, and profile values when you grant read access. The app does not write to HealthKit. โผ Siri & Shortcuts "Get Sensor Reading", "Start Sensor Recording", "Stop Sensor Recording", and "Export Sensor Data" are wired as App Intents. Add them to a Shortcut, ask Siri, automate from Focus modes. โผ Privacy Every reading stays on your device. There is no analytics SDK, no ad SDK, no crash reporter, no remote backend. The app makes no outbound network requests except a single optional ping to 1.1.1.1 when you ask the Network sensor to test connectivity. Built for developers, makers, students, hardware hobbyists, geocachers, weather watchers, and anyone who's ever wondered what their phone really knows about itself.
Flashlight
Read full descriptionHide full description
More than a flashlight. One app for everyday light, cycling and running visibility, a music-reactive party strobe, and your own custom flash pattern. FLASHLIGHT Instant torch access with a single tap. Adjustable brightness for everyday use. CYCLING A dedicated visibility mode for riding after dark. Choose from City, Dark Road, High Vis, or a fully custom preset. Use your screen as a Rear Light in Solid, Pulse, or Double styles, in Red, Amber, or White. Optional Brake Light uses motion detection to briefly flash red when you slow down suddenly. Note: this mode is a visibility aid, not a substitute for legally required bike lights, and it does not guarantee safety. WALKING A separate visibility mode for walking in low light, with Soft, Beacon, Attention, and Custom presets, plus adjustable screen color and brightness. RUNNING Two light modes for runs: a steady Normal Pulse, or Motion Reactive, which adjusts to your movement and pace. This is a visibility light, not a fitness tracker โ there's no GPS, distance tracking, step counting, or heart-rate monitoring. EMERGENCY A bright, attention-grabbing visual SOS signal for extra visibility when it matters. Important: this is a visual signal only. It does not contact police, ambulance, rescue services, or any emergency contacts. PARTY A sound-reactive light mode. Your iPhone's microphone is analyzed in real time, on-device, so the light pulses with the bass and energy of the music around you. Choose Low, Medium, or High sensitivity, or set your own rhythm with Tap Tempo. CUSTOM PATTERN Build your own flash pattern by setting the exact on and off duration. Your pattern is saved locally on your device. PRIVACY Flashlight collects no user data. There's no advertising SDK, no tracking SDK, and no account required. Microphone analysis for the Party mode and motion detection for Cycling and Running happen entirely on your device โ audio is never recorded, stored, or uploaded anywhere. A NOTE ON SAFETY Rapid flashing lights can affect people who are sensitive to light. Please use the strobe and flashing modes thoughtfully. As noted above, Emergency mode sends a visual signal only and does not contact emergency services. Verdict
All Sensors and Flashlight are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters โ price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them โ neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
