Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Airspace Live at 65 against Flight Radar's 2. Airspace Live also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Flight Radar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Airspace Live sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Flight Radar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Airspace Live has 65 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Flight Radar ships an update every 4 days, Airspace Live every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
