What you can do: - Open .html, .htm, .xhtml and Markdown files - Import ZIP archives and multi-file web projects - Render LaTeX math in Markdown offline, with no scripts - Preview local pages with network access off by default - Diagnose missing files, blocked resources and JavaScript issues - View JSON, XML and source files with a code-friendly reader - Export full pages to PDF or long images with OpenHTML Pro - Keep selected files in your OpenHTML folder in iCloud Drive and open them on your other devices with OpenHTML Pro Private by default: OpenHTML has no accounts, no analytics and no ads. Verdict

The call

OpenHTML and ShelfCheck Pro are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. OpenHTML sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ShelfCheck Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
