Scribe is the Bible study app built for readers who want to go deeper. Whether you're a pastor, seminary student, or simply someone who wants to understand the text behind the text — Scribe gives you scholar-grade tools in a reading experience designed to get out of your way. —— WHAT'S INSIDE —— • 14 Bible translations, including BSB (Berean Standard Bible) with full Strong's tagging, KJV, and two Tagalog versions (Ang Dating Biblia, Unlocked Literal Bible) • Greek New Testament with word-by-word interlinear — tap any word for its lexicon entry, morphology, and Strong's number • Hebrew Old Testament interlinear with transliteration and morphology • Abbott-Smith Greek Lexicon, the extended Liddell-Scott-Jones (LSJ), and Brown-Driver-Briggs (BDB) • Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (TSK) cross-references • Matthew Henry and Jamieson-Fausset-Brown verse-by-verse commentary —— AI BIBLE RESEARCH —— Ask questions about the passage you're reading and get answers grounded in the text in front of you. Scribe's AI research is bring-your-own-key — connect your own Anthropic or OpenRouter key and your questions go straight from your device to the provider you choose. Nothing runs through our servers. Choose OpenRouter for agentic deep research, where the AI searches across your library to build a fuller answer. —— HOW IT WORKS —— Tap any word in the original Greek or Hebrew text to instantly pull its lexicon entry, Strong's number, and every other place that word appears in Scripture. No switching apps. No copying and pasting. Read in Berean Standard Bible alongside the interlinear. Compare translations side by side. Follow cross-references. Study the way scholars do — without needing a shelf full of books. Everything is bundled on your device, so all your reading, lexicons, cross-references, and commentary work completely offline — no account, no sign-in, no internet. On a plane, in a tunnel, anywhere. (AI research is the one feature that reaches out, and only to the provider whose key you supply.) —— DESIGNED FOR DEEP READING —— Scribe uses a warm cream palette and carefully chosen serif fonts (Lora for English, Cardo for Greek and Hebrew) so the text itself stays the focus. Prefer something else? Choose from five themes — Parchment, Warm Dark, Paper, Nord, and Midnight. No distracting UI. No social features. Just you and the Word. —— PRICING —— Free: Read 9 translations, follow cross-references, see Strong's numbers, search, bookmark, and highlight — plus a 30-day trial of everything in Scholar. THE HEBREW Every Bible translation asks for trust. RETURN TO THE WRITTEN WITNESS The Karaite Messianic Translation begins with a conviction: understanding comes from the Creator, not from a denomination or institution. Scripture should remain open to careful study and debate. The ancient text should remain visible so every reader can test the translation. Yeshua warned us to beware the scribes and Pharisees. We take that warning seriously. Pharisaic tradition is not placed above Scripture. The Talmud is not Torah or inspired authority. This collection returns to Torah, the Prophets and Writings, and the witnesses closest to Yeshua: His disciples and brothers. WHY WE SPEAK PLAINLY Talmud passages such as Gittin 57a preserve a degrading portrayal of Yeshua. Public availability does not mean they are openly presented to Christian readers. We believe many modern Pharisaic teachers would prefer that Christians never examine what these writings say about Yeshua. That silence matters. The Hebrew names the disagreement and presents the evidence. Paul's letters are not included. Pauline doctrine is not permitted to set aside the perfect Torah of our King, weaken His warning about Pharisaic teaching, or turn obedience into something elementary. The King's laws still matter, even while He is away. We should teach our children why it matters to remove the Pharisee leaven of this world and seek His Truth. SOURCE FIRST, NOT TRADITION FIRST The Hebrew translates from Hebrew, and from Greek for Yohanan, Ya’aqob, Yahudah, and Revelation. The source appears beside the English. When a word has more than one possible meaning, you can see it, tap it, and examine it. יהוה remains visible without imposing a guessed pronunciation. Yah is preserved wherever His Name appears, including HalleluYah: Praise Yah. Elohim, El, Elah, Adonai, and other deity titles are not flattened into one English substitute. What makes The Hebrew unique is that the standalone את, Aleph and Tav (most Greek readers would say Alpha and Omega) stays in its source-relative place. We preserve the evidence and let the reader consider its meaning. Yeshua appears where the documented Hebrew form supports His Name. Personal names include Hebrew-origin meanings. TOOLS FOR TESTING THE TRANSLATION Tap Hebrew or Greek words for phonetics, roots, prefixes, suffixes, translations, and complete meaning lists. Search words and phrases. Change among English, Hebrew, Greek, and phonetic views without losing your verse. Copy Scripture, choose your text size, and read in dark green or light cream. TWENTY-FIVE BOOKS Beresheet (Genesis), Shemot (Exodus), Wayiqra (Leviticus), Bemidbar (Numbers), Debarim (Deuteronomy), Yahushua (Joshua), Shophetim (Judges), Shamuel Aleph and Bet (1–2 Samuel), Tehillim (Psalms), Shir HaShirim (Song), Mishlei (Proverbs), Iyob (Job), Yeshayahu (Isaiah), Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah), Yehezqel (Ezekiel), Daniel, Zekaryah (Zechariah), 2 Esdras, Baruk 1–2, Yohanan (John), Ya’aqob (James), Yahudah (Jude), Revelation. THIS TRANSLATION IS A BEGINNING We do not claim every question is settled. As we learn and compare ancient witnesses, the translation will continue to be examined and refined. Many modern Bible traditions inherit later doctrinal assumptions. We return to the ancient text and allow it to correct us. Truth is unemotional. Truth is ancient. Truth can be established by two witnesses from the original texts. FREE, PRIVATE, AND OFFLINE The Hebrew is free and ad-free, with no account, subscription, in-app purchase, analytics, or tracking. Reading position and preferences stay on your device. Core reading, search, copy, and word study work offline, even without a connection. Read the source. Test the translation. Let Scripture change you. If you believe truth belongs in the light of the ancient text, welcome home to the Karaite Messianic Translation: the books of our King and His Father, Yah, the Great King who was before heaven and earth.
