ThoughtTrace

"Think analog, save digital." ThoughtTrace is a seamless tool to digitally save and organize the deep thoughts you've written down with pen and paper. Some ideas are only born when you freely move a pen across a blank sheet of paper, rather than typing on a keyboard. ThoughtTrace maximizes this "handwritten thought process" and securely manages your notes afterward. โ 3 Core Features of ThoughtTrace โ 1. "Intelligent Timer" for Deep Thinking Place your iPhone or iPad on the corner of your desk and set the focus timer. Setting a time limit flips the switch in your brain to "just write." 2. "High-Quality Continuous Scan" for Handwritten Notes Once you finish writing, simply point the app's camera. It automatically detects document edges, removes hand shadows and wrinkles, and instantly converts your notes into crisp, highly legible black-and-white data. You can also continuously scan multiple pages without closing the camera. 3. Reflect and Organize (Folders, Tags, PDF Export) Beautifully organize your scanned notes using folders and tags. Look back on the trajectory of your thoughts through a chronological timeline. You can also combine multiple notes and export them as a single PDF (*Pro feature). โ Privacy First โ All your ideas and notes are saved strictly on your device. They are never sent to external servers, allowing you to write down your thoughts with complete peace of mind. *The free version has a daily limit on the number of scans. Upgrade to the Pro version with a one-time purchase to unlock "Unlimited Saves," "No Ads," and the "PDF Export" feature. Your AI agent, now living on your watch. IMPORTANT โ nanochat is a "bring your own key" client. It does not include an AI service. To use it you need an API key from an AI provider offering a standard Chat Completions API endpoint (many providers have free tiers). If you already use openclaw or hermes-agent, nanochat lets you connect them directly from your wrist โ raise to wake, no phone needed. Don't have your own agent yet? No problem. Point nanochat at any compatible model, add an API key, and it becomes a fully autonomous AI agent running on your watch โ with built-in memory, tool use, and skill extensions. Everything an AI agent needs, already there. **Not just chat โ it takes action** Ask about the weather and it checks your location. Say "remind me" and it writes to your reminders. Drop a link and it fetches a summary. Ask for exchange rates or stock prices and it returns live data. You state the goal; the agent decides which tools to call and gets it done. **On-demand skills** - Live exchange rates โ instant quotes, no account needed - Stock quotes โ global markets and crypto, real-time - Web reader โ send a link, the agent reads it for you - Long-term memory โ remembers your preferences across sessions - Tech news digest โ daily picks, summarized on demand - Text games โ AI plays as your opponent in social deduction games **Multiple agents, running side by side** Every conversation is bound to its own service and model. openclaw, hermes-agent, any public or local model โ switch freely between them without interference. **Your data** Conversations are stored locally on your watch; nanochat does not keep them on any server of ours. Your messages are sent to the AI provider you choose, using your own API key, and are then subject to that provider's privacy policy. To-dos and favorites sync through your own iCloud account. API keys are stored in the device Keychain and survive uninstall and reinstall. Voice dictation and read-aloud are processed by nanochat's server; the audio is used only to fulfil that request and is not stored. **Watch face shortcut** Pin any conversation to your watch face. Glance, tap, and you are in โ no unlocking, no searching. **Voice, handwriting, emoji** Every input method the watch supports is available: voice dictation, handwriting recognition, and emoji picker. Requires watchOS 11 or later and an API key for your chosen AI service (some services offer free tiers). Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: nanochat at none against ThoughtTrace's shown. nanochat also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
