LaterMe

Later Me is a single-purpose app with a single, powerful idea: write a letter to your future self, seal it, and receive it on the day you choose. Write what you're feeling right now. Where you are. What you hope for. What you're afraid of. Then seal it!. A ceremonial moment with a wax seal animation and haptic feedback that makes the act feel real. Your letter is locked. You can't read it early. You can't edit it. It waits. On the day you chose, weeks, months, or years from now, a notification arrives on your lock screen: A letter from your past self. You open it and read something you forgot you wrote. The gap between who you were and who you are now lands all at once. That's Later Me. Features: โ Write a letter to your future self with no character limit โ Choose a delivery date โ weeks, months, or years away โ Seal it with a ceremonial wax seal animation and haptic feedback โ Letters are locked after sealing โ no peeking, no editing โ Receive a notification on delivery day and read your letter in full โ Letters stored privately on your device with iCloud backup โ No account required. No social features. Just a letter and a date. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Write a letter to the person you'll become. Seal it in wax. Then let time do the rest. Letterseal is a time capsule for your words. Write to your future self, choose the day it opens and press the seal. Until that day, all you see is the envelope and a countdown. NEW IN 3.0 โข Real wax seals, envelopes and paper: choose your paper and wax color, and press your initials into the seal (Unlimited) โข Send a sealed letter to someone you love. It opens in their Letterseal only on the date you chose โข Video letters up to 3 minutes and voice letters up to 5 minutes (Unlimited) โข "This year's letter": write it in December or January, open it on New Year's Day a year from now HOW IT WORKS 1. Write on paper that feels like paper. Add photos, and with Unlimited your voice or a short video. 2. Choose a date: next month, your next birthday, ten years from now. Or let Letterseal hide a surprise date. 3. Seal it. Press the wax, and the letter stays closed until its day. 4. Open it. On the day, break the seal and read what you once hoped, feared and promised. LETTERS FOR SOMEONE ELSE Write to your child for their 18th birthday, to a friend for next summer, to your partner for your anniversary. Letterseal sends the sealed letter as a file by AirDrop, Messages or Mail. When they open it in Letterseal, it waits, sealed, until the date. They need Letterseal (free) to open it. MADE FOR THE WAIT โข 56 writing prompts, including New Year and "for someone" themes โข Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, including a new large widget โข A Live Activity in the final 8 hours, and a live seconds countdown on the last day โข Reply to your past self, or write ahead to your next self โข Export any opened letter as a keepsake PDF PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No cloud. No ads. No tracking. Your letters stay on your iPhone and the developer collects no data. Lock the app with Face ID and keep an encrypted backup file wherever you like. FREE, OR UNLIMITED ONCE Letterseal is free to download. The free version keeps up to 5 sealed letters at a time, with 2 papers, 2 wax colors, up to 2 photos per letter and one surprise date. Letters for someone else (words and photos) are free and don't count toward the 5. "This year's letter" is free too. Letterseal Unlimited is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks unlimited sealed letters, all 6 papers and 8 wax colors plus your initials pressed into the seal, video letters (up to 3 minutes) and voice letters (up to 5 minutes), up to 6 photos per letter and unlimited surprise dates. AN HONEST NOTE Letterseal keeps a letter closed until its date. That is the whole ritual. It is a sealed envelope, not a bank vault: please don't use it for passwords or anything that must stay hidden from someone holding your unlocked iPhone. If you truly need to, you can open a letter early, but only on purpose.

Verdict
LaterMe and Letterseal are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters โ price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them โ neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
