SkyLaunch tells you if you can see the next SpaceX rocket launch from where you are, and how good the view will be. It is a free launch tracker for iPhone with no account and no ads. It is made for families, skywatchers and photographers who want to step outside at the right minute, whether you live near the coast in California, Florida or Texas, or hundreds of miles inland. HOW THE VISIBILITY SCORE WORKS Every upcoming SpaceX launch gets a score from 0 to 10 for your location. A 0 means you will most likely not see it. The score looks at four things: • Distance: how far you are from the launch pad • Sun angle: a launch just after sunset or before sunrise can light up a glowing "space jellyfish" plume that people see from hundreds of miles away • Cloud cover: from the hourly forecast for your location • Haze and visibility: smoke, fog or haze that can hide the rocket Tap any score to see the full breakdown, so you know why the view looks good or bad. The score is an estimate, not a promise. LAUNCH SITES • Vandenberg Space Force Base, California • Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida • Kennedy Space Center, Florida • Starbase, Texas Watch all four sites or pick the one near you. SkyLaunch follows SpaceX launches only, such as Falcon 9 and Starship. It does not cover other rocket companies. WHAT YOU GET • The upcoming SpaceX launch schedule with date, time, pad and mission details • A live T-minus countdown for every launch • Launch alerts 1 hour, 30 minutes, 15 minutes or 5 minutes before liftoff • A minimum score setting, so you only get alerts for launches you can likely see • A site filter for alerts • Home Screen widgets (small and medium) with the next launch and its score • A Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island in the last 24 hours before liftoff • Add any launch to your calendar • Share a launch with family and friends • Webcast links when they are posted • Launches from the past 48 hours PRIVATE AND SIMPLE No account, no sign in, no ads and no tracking. Use GPS or type your city and state. Your location is only used to score launches and to get your local weather forecast. MADE BY A DAD Joey Bolohan built SkyLaunch for his two kids. They love running outside to watch rockets light up the sky, and he wanted to know which launches were worth the trip to the backyard. Launch times change often, so check the app before you head out. You can find viewing guides on the SkyLaunch blog at www.skylaunch.app. Launch data from The Space Devs Launch Library 2. Weather from Open-Meteo. SkyLaunch is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SpaceX.
