Most gun logs treat a firearm as one object with one round count. But a recoil spring, a striker, and a barrel don't wear at the same rate — and a single number can't tell you which one is due. Carbon Buildup tracks a firearm the way it's actually built: as an assembly of parts, each with its own service clock. WHAT IT DOES • Per-part service tracking — every part carries its own round and calendar interval, color-graded as it approaches service. Pre-loaded with manufacturer intervals for Glock, S&W M&P, Walther PDP, Canik, Beretta 92, CZ, Tanfoglio, and 1911/2011. • Service log — rounds between cleanings, lubes, and part changes. See what you actually run, not just what's due: average, longest, and current interval for every tracked item. • Chronograph and load data — velocity, SD, ES, and power factor tied to the specific gun that shot it. Barrel length and porting are recorded too, because a 4" carry gun and a 5.4" comp gun don't read the same. • Reloading recipes — bullet, powder, charge, primer, OAL, crimp, lot numbers, and cost per round. Estimate velocity in your own guns from bundled reference data. • Forecast and analytics — rounds fired over time, distribution by gun, and projected service dates based on your actual shooting pace. • Insurance rider PDF — export an itemized document with photos, serials, and declared values. Itemize down to the frame, slide, and barrel on custom builds. • Optic and light tracking — battery life, torque check intervals, and zero data. • Magazine tracking — spring cycles per set, so you know when followers are due. • Malfunction tracking — structured by type, per gun and per load, so patterns surface instead of getting lost in notes. • Photos throughout — firearms, targets, primers, malfunctions — with rotate and crop built in. • Full backup and restore — export everything to a single file and bring it to a new phone. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account. No login. No cloud. Your safe, your serials, your photos — stored locally on your device and never uploaded to us or anyone else. We don't sell your data, we don't aggregate it, and we don't want it. BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO SHOOT A LOT Carbon Buildup is made for USPSA, IDPA, and steel challenge competitors, and for anyone who puts enough rounds downrange to care when a spring is due.
